Gratitude~Day 27

I am continuing my gratitude for music today!
I love listening to music in the car!
I drive almost 2 hours one-way to visit daughter and family several times a month.  I don't like the radio, too much talk and commercials, not enough music.  I mostly listen to CD's!
Some of my favorite artists
James Taylor
Dixie Chicks
Michael Buble
Adele
Josh Groban
Trish Yearwood
and so many many more!
I think my favorite singer is Kathy Mattea
I've shared that her Christmas CD "Good News" is one of my all time favorites.  Her voice moves me like no one else.  I have been blessed to see her once in concert and I was moved to tears.
Her rendition of  'Mary Did You Know' is my Christmas favorite
If you have never heard it please enjoy this YouTube video

I treat myself to a new Christmas CD every year!
This year's is Blake Shelton's new release
'Cheers, it's Christmas'
I love this guy on 'The Voice' and know I will enjoy his new Christmas CD!

What is your favorite Christmas Song?

Linda

I don't listen to music too much anymore. I have watched the voice though. I think some of my family members are addicted to it. I still love "Oh Holy Night".

I can't imagine not listening to music, I turn on my XM satellite radio as soon as I get up, I listen to it in the car too, it just has to be on!

Hi Linda....I love music, too. That's a wonderful gift to be thankful for.

I love Kathy Mattea and saw her in concert a few years ago. Beautiful singer!

I also love the late Eva Cassidy. Check her out on Utube.

I think my all time favorite Christmas song is Oh Holy Night, followed by Little Drummer Boy and Silent Night.

Oh! Have you heard the Walton Family Christams album? I ordered it on eBay and have been playing it non-stop in my car ever since. Wonderful! Susan

Oh that Blake Shelton is a cutie, isn't he? And he's a good singer too! I love Christmas music, and there's a station here that started playing it about two weeks ago, 24/7. They start earlier every year, but I'm crazy about it, especially the old songs. Definitely grateful for music!

It's official, we are twins!! I was just telling a friend yesterday that I miss hearing "Mary Have You Heard" by Kathy Mattea on the radio station that I usually listen to during the holiday. They're playing a version with some guy:-( Your playlist is one I agree with totally. XOXO

Kathy's version of Mary Did You Know? moves me to tears every time. It is almost as if I feel Mary's pain.

Love Blake Shelton, too. Wild and funny guy.

I am a traditional old Christmas song girl. Bing Crosby and White Christmas does it for me!

I love country music Linda! I am a big classic country music buff. But, I do like some newer country. Dixie Chicks have always been a favorite of mine! I have a love and gratitude for music as well! :)

Linda, I've missed reading so many of these, but I'm especially happy that I found this particular one! I love (most) of the same singers as you! And I LOVE Kathy Mattea's version of "Mary, did you know?"
