I am grateful I live in the USA
Is it perfect? No
But it is the land of my birth and I've grown up loving this country and the many freedoms we have here.
My Dad was a career Marine and I grew up respecting the Flag, Honor and Liberty
Today, as we do every 4 years, we have the right to vote and elect the new leaders of our country. I've seen more hatred this election then in many years
and it saddens me.
I pray things will change!
I still Believe In America!
It is time America stands up Together to make a difference.
I am proud to be an American and Grateful for the Freedom
this country gives it citizens!
Linda

Beautiful! I come from a Marine family, too, not my dad but uncles, brothers, cousins, nephews - I think 11 in all last time I counted. Hugs ~ Mary
Wonder post Linda! I totally agree. I have family still in our military and am so proud of them!
Me, too. I'm proud to be an American and am thankful for the right to vote which I just did. :-)
I stood in line with the cutest 90+ year old couple. She said she wouldn't think of not voting and had voted in every election since she was old enough to vote. He was a retired pediatrician. He was 94, and she was 92. So precious. Their sitter had brought them because they don't drive any longer.
We love our military. My cousin is a Lt. Col (Air Force) as was his dad. But I love the Marines and the Army, too. And of course the Navy. Lots of them in Florida, and we love every single one of our guys and girls. Oh, and the Coast Guard. Did I leave anyone out? I hope not. A salute to them for doing their duty. To me, every day is Veteran's Day because they deserve to be honored 365 days a year!
XO,
Sheila
Hi, LInda. I voted! Stood in line for over an hour, but I'm proud to be an American and have this right.
Amen!
Amen, Linda!
We voted during early voting season in Tennessee.
Sending good wishes to you for today, Linda!
I will be so glad when all this nastiness is over, both parties should be ashamed of themselves.
Nice to see the red, white and blue in November:@)
Amen!
Cheers to that Miss Linda! I know I am proud too. Have a great week.
I agree. But let them please figure out something about healthcare. I lose mine in 6 months. I am not at all alone. So many folks going broke due to this.

Great post Linda! I am thankful to have the right & privilege to vote, and for the military that protects our freedom.
Well said, Linda. Well said. Now our country must go forward. I pray hatred can end and hope in the future wil take over. Susan

I so agree, Linda. I hope everyone will come together to end the hate.

You couldn't have said it better! We are a country founded on diversity and our Forefathers stood up for that in the Revolution. I'm so proud to be an American, XOXO
