I am grateful for our Veterans!
In the midst of so much turmoil in our world I am always grateful for the men and women who served in our countries armed forces!
Who protect our country and our freedoms!
I have mentioned before that my Dad was a career Marine. He was a fighter pilot in Korea and served as a commanding officer in Vietnam.
I grew up with an appreciation of the sacrifices
made by men and women in uniform.
Thank you to all Veterans who fought and served our country!
Linda

Handsome dad! Thanks for this great tribute to those who serve our country......Sarah
How proud...and what a great photo of your dad, XOXO
I am joining you in gratitude for our Veterans! They are willing to lay down their life for our freedoms; our freedom to vote, freedom of speech, freedom to bare arms, to name a few. Thanks for the link to the Slipcovers! I started a slipcover project over a year ago and it isn't finished. This post helps me to get inspired again. Enjoy reading your posts in my RSS Feed.

I am glad that people are becoming more respectful and appreciative of just what the those in the service do for us. And as far as understanding their true sacrifices.....regardless of their telling of what they experienced, we will never understand the horrors of what they went through unless we go through it ourselves. God Bless them.
Always grateful to those who served - and are serving now.

Amen!!! My dad was a fighter pilot, too. He was shot down and captured in WWII and was called back up in the Korean war. :)
Weren't those young men so handsome in their uniforms? My dad was a fighter pilot in WWII, Korea and in Ops in Viet Nam. It's good to take a day to be grateful for those who serve.
What a nice picture of your father. I thank him and every one of our men and women who have served. We owe them so much.

My son is a career marine. He will be retiring in about two years after 20 years of service.
Oh my goodness, Linda, what an awesome picture. I would certainly have that framed. Thank you for sharing it with us, and I am beyond grateful for all the valiant men and women in uniform who fight day and night to defend our freedom.
Come on over for paella anytime.
