It's National Cat Day!
Since losing my sweet Charlie I've been letting my heart heal.
Finally it was time to bring a new furry love into my home.
Tiger and I spent a day checking out a few rescue cats at PetSmart before heading to our local animal shelter.
As Tiger told the ladies there, "we are looking for a calm cat, who likes children and likes to be petted!"
(I love this child)'
After playing with a few cats that just didn't steal my heart, we took this little cutie into the play room! She loved to be petted and was very affectionate! She kept going up to Tiger's hand for pets and he said, 'Grandma she loves my hand!' We played with her awhile longer, I held her and my heart did a little melty thing. Tiger looked at me and said, 'I think we found the one Grandma' and so we had.
Meet Annie Belle!
They think she is about 3 years old and was a stray. I can tell she loves people so she must have had a home at one time.
She has some unusual markings for sure and the prettiest eyes!
We had to submit our application and were told to come back the next day to pick her up. She was up to date on all her shots, spade, chipped and was well worth the $50 adoption fee.
Tiger and I brought her home and she was happy right from the start!
Loves my bed and has become quite comfortable there!
She is eating well and has those amazing 'laser' eyes in this photo!
She and Mr Toes have gotten to know each other and that is going well.
I can't tell you how happy I am to once again have a kitty to love!
