Paris When It Rains

Paris!

While I was in Paris a few years ago, it rained several days, but what better place to be in the rain then lovely Paris.  Here are some photos I took as I visited a few museums and just walked the streets of this amazing city.
The street my apartment was on...
Rue St Dominique!
The Museum d'Orsay

I believe most of the 'locks of love' have been removed from the bridges now

Passerelle de Solferino
 Jardin de Tulleries

Bassin Octogonal
Place de la Concorde

View from the Pont de la Concorde
Walking on the Quai Anatole France
This pair of shoes was sitting on this wall.  I made up romantic stories about the girl who wore them on my walk back to the apartment.

Truly an amazing day.
I'm joining Paris in July
at Thyme for Tea and the lovely Tamara who hosts this sweet party each year.

Come Dine With Me!

I am joining Paris in July this year and can't wait to go and read all the great blogs.  Check out the fun Here

I'm going to share some of the Paris themed tablescapes I've enjoyed in the past several years!

Some simple black and white plates found at HomeGoods got me started.
Most everything else was thrifted on the table as you know I like a bargain!

This time red and black.  These plates were thrifted and I love them!
Dreaming of Paris as always!

Waking up to a Paris themed breakfast tray is always fun!
These cute square plates were a gift.

I really enjoy setting a fun table and Paris is one of my favorite themes.

Join me as I share memories of Paris in my posts this month!

Celebrating April!

April is a busy month for our family!
Three Birthday's
Easter
Spring

Easter came very early this year but we had a lovely day.  Church with the family.
Tiger, Scout, Sara and Blake
Tiger had been asking for a new shirt, tie and vest.  He looks so grown up.  New yellow dress for Scout!

Easter dinner that afternoon, but first Easter Baskets from Grammie!
Tiger is very into Harry Potter as he and his Mom have been reading the books together.  So he got some Harry Potter glasses and a wand in his basket.  The family got a movie and popcorn.  Scout got a pink bunny and cute pretend food for her kitchen.
Oh and bubbles for Scout, she loves bubbles!  They loved their baskets.
Dinner next door at BB's!

April 3rd is Blake's birthday so we celebrated that day also.
April 7th was Tiger's 7th birthday!
He had a party with some friends and it was wild, crazy and fun!
Pizza then CAKE!!
He was so happy!
Gifts!  Mom and Dad got him a new bike.  He has gotten so tall and outgrown his old bike!
Who couldn't wait to climb on it?
Scout!!

Next we have Scout's Birthday!
She turned 3!
We went low key with a trip to
Chick-fil-a!  They have a playground.
I got Scout a basket filled with all sorts of goodies with a Mermaid theme. Towels, book, Mermaid doll...she loved it all!!
Give that girl an ice cream cone with sprinkles and she is happy!
She had cake at home later but this Grammie had gone home already.

It has been a good month.  My cousin Joletta has been here for a visit and will fly home to Houston on Tue.  Mom had the second surgery for her cataracts and it is going well (all those drops drive us crazy but we do it of course).

I'm doing pretty well and that is always a good thing!
So that my friends has been April.

Wishing you Joy,

Linda

Spring!!

It is officially Spring!
Can someone tell the weather?
I see some blooms here and there so it won't be long I hope, but for those still digging out of snow, it's just not fair!
The Avon Bunny Collection has made it's way out to the shelves and cubbies.
Along with the other bunnies that have found a home with me over the years!
I have finally gotten back to watercolors again.  I need to put in much more practice.  This is the tree in my front yard...Fall and Spring.

Scout wanted some 'pretty dresses Grammie' so I stopped at a thrift shop and hit the jackpot!
Three dresses for well under $20
One was brand new with tags.
My favorite of the dresses!
She wore the blue one which is long to the ground and played in it all night saying it was her Princess dress.
I was so proud of myself for not buying anything else but these dresses.
I'm really trying to cut down on my thrifting, well, because of space.
My friend Donna loves her 'frozen Charlottes' and gifted me one last year.  Donna has started doing Friday Frozen Charlotte stories on IG.  I wanted to join in!  So...
My frozen Charlotte was playing hide and seek, but it wasn't much fun by herself.  Donna to the rescue.
A gift in the mail!
These girls came to join in the fun!
Photos soon of the Frozen Charlotte Triplet Adventures!

Blogging friends are the best!
I've been a follower of Sharon at
Queen of Fifty Cents for years.  She truly finds the best things for less money then most anyone else I know.  I love to follow her adventures.
Back in December Sharon found a bunch of great toys.  Several Steiff stuffed animals including a couple of Tigers.  I mentioned how much I love the Tigers since it's my Grandson's name and we collect them.  Sharon then gifted me with this Tiger!
He is so cute and sits on the back of this chair at my house.  My Tiger loves him and so do I.  Thank you Sharon for sharing such a generous find with me!

I am finally getting some energy back after surgery and I'm looking forward to getting some things done around my home.  More cleaning and downsizing for sure.  I find I really do want a less cluttered home, but I have a long way to go.  I'm better at bringing things in then taking them out it seems.

Wishing you Joy,

Linda

Monday, Monday!

It is a bit cloudy and rainy today and the perfect time to catch up with what's Going On!
This was all the Valentine's decorating I did this year.  The red heart was made by my Dad many years ago and is very special to me.
I took balloons and a little candy to the Grands and enjoyed a few hugs.
Scout has discovered my watercolors and is very interested in painting.  We will do much more soon!  I have some brushes and paints just for her.
Winter has been so dreary that I wanted a little color so found this cute pillow cover on Amazon.  I love having lots of pillow covers so I can change them out for seasonal and holiday decor.
Annie has been napping with me most every day.  I'm healing well and slowly and I do mean slowly getting my energy back.  I went to WalMart with my Mom one day and made the mistake of walking instead of taking one of the riding carts.  I was more then ready to come home and it took me two days to recover.  However my Mom did buy me this for Valentine's Day!
I love Flamingos and this cute girl just jumped in my cart and came home with me.  I've named her Rose (Pink in French).  Along with my Flamingo pillow covers she makes a sweet corner on the couch!
A little trip to Trader Joe's was fun and this little Hyacinth plant was only $2.99
I can't wait for it to bloom!

So not much else going on.
I've binged watched several shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime.  Read at least 3 books and slept a great deal.  Healing is hard work.

Wishing you Joy!

Linda
