Paris When It Rains

While I was in Paris a few years ago, it rained several days, but what better place to be in the rain then lovely Paris.  Here are some photos I took as I visited a few museums and just walked the streets of this amazing city.
The street my apartment was on...
Rue St Dominique!
The Museum d'Orsay

I believe most of the 'locks of love' have been removed from the bridges now

Passerelle de Solferino
 Jardin de Tulleries

Bassin Octogonal
Place de la Concorde

View from the Pont de la Concorde
Walking on the Quai Anatole France
This pair of shoes was sitting on this wall.  I made up romantic stories about the girl who wore them on my walk back to the apartment.

Truly an amazing day.
I'm joining Paris in July
at Thyme for Tea and the lovely Tamara who hosts this sweet party each year.

Linda, I remember when you went to Paris! Such an amazing trip, isn't it? I haven't been for a few years now and I miss it so much! Love your pictures of Paris in the rain and the shoes! We saw a white rose tucked in the handle of a front doorway when we were there, and I also thought there must be some romantic found or love lost! Only in Paris! Jane Flora Doora

It rains all over the world, it is how we deal with the rain that matters

Paris is even pretty when it rains there. What great pics you captured. Love the shoes there. So much imagination to think of why they are there and who wore them. Very nice post. Enjoyed this so much.

Isn't it funny how we expect our holidays to always be sunshine and warmth - yet some cities do rain beautifully - I agree with you, Paris shows us a different side of herself in the rain. thanks for sharing in Paris in July.

Rick and I hung our lock on Passerelle de Solferino. We didn't know it was a bad thing at the time -- in fact, our Parisian friend suggested it and gave us the lock. I'm sure it's gone now and I know and understand why, but I still will always treasure that memory.

We were in Paris in June and there were still lots and lots of locks on the bridge.

I love all these pictures. I feel like I've just spent a day with you walking around my favorite city. I especially love the photo you took of the Eiffel Tower in the rain.

Hi Linda,
What amazing photos of Paris! They bring back so many memories. It's hard to describe the beauty of Paris to someone who has not been there but I think your photos come pretty close.
Thanks for sharing these. Cheryl

Lovely photographs. I remember a particular rainy afternoon in Paris spent sipping the richest and most decadent drinking chocolate I've ever had at a haven called Angelina's. Sunshine or rain, Paris is for me.
