Not long ago in one of my walks through a favorite thrift I found this set of dishes!  Now I don't need more dishes but I fell in love with the pattern and colors.  Vernon Ware by Metlox of California.
The pattern is called Vineyard
It was Senior Discount Day so I could not resist
They are not traditional fall colors but bring hints of the season
I started with a soft green lacy tablecloth
I then added tan place mats, fall napkins with a leaf design another thrift store find
Napkin rings are from Pier 1 ~ 4 leaf shapes I found them new at the thrift all four for $1
I also used the bronze handled silverware that I have used many times before, such a warm color
I layered the plates as follows
Vineyard dinner plate, soft green salad plate, Vineyard desert plate
A cute dollar tree pumpkin on top
These wine glasses were a recent find at the Goodwill
Four glasses for $1.90
Cup and saucer for tea or coffee
For a centerpiece I found a candle in the tan color
I put it on a matching Vineyard plate on a pedestal
surrounded by leaves
I scattered some fall leaves and glass pieces for sparkle
added some small brown tea lights
These little birds flew in to provide salt & pepper
I was late getting this table done and used a flash
It really does wash out some of the colors
Of course there is always candlelight

It is  beautiful day today!  Cloudy, rainy and cool!  Yes I said beautiful.  We have had so many warm days and no rain that this is wonderful for my flowers.  I don't have a lot of fall beauties but wanted to share the photos I took the other day in my yard.
The colors of this glorious tree are hard to catch
It is some sort of Hydranga plant that looks like a tree and it was here. when we bought the house.  It makes me so happy as I turn into my driveway.
They will turn many colors as they dry out
Also in the front yard
This one sunflower plant.  I didn't think it had lived but suddenly there were some sunflowers!  Small but beautiful!
I hope I have more next year...I will plan better

A few blooms left on the Butterfly Bush
One gorgeous bloom on my rose!  Looks like something is eating it's leaves.  Maybe my rose growing friends can help me.
I am such a novice gardener.  This was also here when we bought the house.  I love the color.
Anyone know what this one is called?
These have made their way here...birds?

Now to the back yard deck garden
I love this color
I will be buying more Mums for the front porch
This one little bloom on a mark down plant
isn't it intersting
It is called a shrimp plant and had a little white part of the flower that makes it look like a shrimp.  I saw that today but it is rainy so didn't photograph it.

That's the Fall Flowers in my yard!  I am linking up with
You must visit her and see the pumpkin topiary she made!

Happy Fall Ya'll!
(couldn't resist)

Last week I met one of my Atlanta blogging buddies for lunch and some thrifting.  We had a great time.  Sandie who many of you know as Chatty Crone is such a fun lady.   Sandie has just gotten the thrifting bug but is like so many of us and has lots of stuff and so is careful what she buys.  She spotted my favorite find first and I offered it to her but she said no you get them!  Ok so are you ready!!
Green Boopie Swirl Glasses!
Oh yes in all their glorious beauty sitting on a shelf in the Goodwill
Three sizes!  Two large water glasses, Two medium juice glasses and Four sherbets!  Only $1.97 each!  Oh me oh my!
See the swirl on the stem and the boopie bottoms
I am so in love with theses gorgeous glasses
Thanks Sandie for spying these beauties!

On another thrifting excursion I found some new Orphan Salt and Pepper shakers for my collection...they ranged in price from 25 cents to 99 cents each
These are just fun and someone needed to give them a home
I especially like the frog!

I was passing a yard sale and my car just turned in...imagine that!
Not much to my taste at this one but I did find this for $1
This candle holder was in my fall colors
I think it will look cute with tea lights in it
This plate was found at a thrift
For 69 cents and is perfect with this candle holder on my table
