SUMMER SHADOW

As we near the last days of summer I spent some time out on my deck enjoying the garden
The heat has taken a toll on my deck plants but
a few blossoms remain
The shadows caught my eye
Almost time to put away the bird houses
Patterns from the chairs
Remind me to sit and enjoy the fading beauty of summer
Still as one season goes
Another one will follow
I will look forward to the warm colors of Fall

I am joining Seasonal Sundays

Shadow Shot Sunday

Always,
Linda

I have to agree with Pondside -- such beautiful shots and they do indeed capture the poignancy of the end of summer. I love the wrought iron shadows and, of course, the wonderful colors. Truly beautiful captures, Linda! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Great pictures Linda....I know you are really enjoying this beautiful day we are having today....I was thrilled last night to finally shut off the air and get some nice fresh air going through the house...Hope you have a great rest of the long weekend...

Hi Linda......like the photos of the iron furniture.....I think we have the same set on our porch. As a matter of fact, I was just out there spraying it off for dinner tonight. There might be a chance we can sit out there today w/o melting! I sent your new pyrex blog site to my sister. She's a collector of the pyrex bowls too. What a great collection you have! Hope you are doing well.

Your photos are gorgeous. You captured the shadows beautifully. And I LOVE your iron furniture.

I'm very melancholy about the passing of summer. I wish it could last longer.

Have a lovely day.

Hugs,
Patti

It has been a long hot summer here in Georgia hasn't it been Linda? It about did me in! I am so thankful for the little lower temperatures.

Hi Linda! I always smile at your place! I hope you and Sandie can go visit Denise at her shop. You are much closer living in Georgia than I am! HeeHee!
I am trying to get caught up. My son is getting a new bed so I am going to be busy working on his room. He still has his "Cars" curtains up. I need to update a more grown up window cover for him! We are having one of the hottest days ever today! It feels good staying inside! Ahh...Anne

What cool shots of shadows... I don't think of doing stuff like this. I think fall has definitely come to stay here. I'm sure I look forward to it as much as you do, with nature's glorious colors and cooler weather...

Good Morning Linda Sweetie...
A beautiful share today. I love the shadow shot most of all. You have a very beautiful deck area. Just right for sitting and enjoying a beautiful afternoon. Your bird houses have to be put away? Where do your birds roost for the winter months?

It is still SO hot out here, nobody wants to go outside at all. I for one have not moved at all. I am staying right inside this house. I am not happy with the darn heat. We were 106 in the shade of the patio yesterday and they are calling for another hot one today.

Thanks for the beautiful share sweet friend. I always love to pop by and see you.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry
