Only a month until Christmas!
I've taken down all the Fall decorations
and I'm starting to bring up the Christmas bins!
Today I'm grateful that my Mom kept some of our old ornaments! I thought she had gotten rid of all of the old Christmas things but recently when helping her downsize she mentioned some boxes of Christmas in the garage!
I opened some boxes to find ornaments...but not just any ornaments...Shiny Brites!
Look at the graphics on these original boxes!
Look at all this gorgeousness!
I remember some of these from many years ago. Mom gave me a 'few' when I moved out but to have her still have these boxes full has made me so happy!
Even the faded colors are beautiful to me!
Thank you Mom for still having these reminders of my childhood!

I remember these, I think my mom also had boxes of them. Awesome.
How exciting to find those old Christmas balls! They're from the 50s and early 60s. So much fun decorating!! Enjoy!
Those are a real treasure to have, especially since they were from your childhood. I remember them also, but don't know what happened to them over the years.
Ah, amazing, so glad your mom saved them!!!
These are beautiful, Linda. How amazing that your mom kept all of them and that they are in such lovely condition.
Hugs,
Laura
These are BEAUTIFUL! I can imagine your delight is doubled for the memories attached to these wonderful, vintage bulbs....
I love them! I'm always tempted to leave my favorites out all year long.
How lucky you are, Linda! We rarely had a tree, and there were no boxes of ornaments from my childhood. I would love to have some older ornaments. Enjoy trimming your tree!:)
Beautiful ornaments! You are so lucky to have them still.
I am sad to say I sold two boxes of vintage shiny brites in my youth from my Grandma. I could kick myself now.
Looks so familiar! I grew up with Shiny Brites on our family tree. ;-)
Glad you found these at your mom's house.
We had the same Christmas bulbs when I was growing up. I think my mom gave them away when she went to an "all natural" looking tree. Oh, how I miss the good ole days, XOXO
Gotta love those old Shiny Brites!!
Hi Linda! Oh, lucky you for your mom to give you these vintage balls! I just love them and to have the boxes are just wonderful. Hope your Thanksgiving was great and thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia;)
I'm so jealous, Linda. You are one lucky daughter!
I love those old ornements.
I'm so glad someone saved them.

Oh Linda! How wonderful! Entire boxes of Shiny Bright ornaments!! I'm grateful to have just a few ornaments left over from my childhood. My mother was not a "saver" and when she passed away, there really wasn't much left.
I'm happy you have these!!
Oh LInda, what a treasure! So glad your mom kept them for you.
Big Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

Those old ornaments are so pretty! Much nicer than the cheap ones that they sell nowadays. :-)
The old ornaments (and the memories) are the best!
It's SO hard to write with all of the 'drool' dripping onto my computer! heehee! These are absolutely gorgeous! Each one is a treasure. I love the packing material in that one box! ENJOY these marvelous reminders of our happy childhoods! Sweet hugs!
