Paris Day Six

Day six (Tuesday) was overcast with a chance of rain!
We stayed up really late Monday night talking and I *might* have drank a bottle of lovely French wine....J had one glass!
Still it was just a slow start to the day!
We decided to walk down to the Rue Cler and have a meal.
This place caught our eye!
I love when they have menu's in English

A nice glass of Rose for me!
Joletta had ice tea
Cute glass!
I had one of the plat de jours
Roast beef with roasted potatoes
Oh it was so good!  The sauce was amazing!
The French do know how to make a great sauce.
.
Of course the ever present basket of french bread
We sat at a sidewalk table and enjoyed the cool day.
This flower market on Rue Cler made me stop....

and smell the roses
The colors are so amazing and such a variety of flowers and plants
Cler Fleurs....I bought a bouquet...
can you guess which flowers?
???????

These lovely purple flowers!
I put them in this sweet Flora Doora that my friend Jane made for me.  It is "so French" she said and I brought it along to put some flowers in!
These are the flowers and I'm still not sure what kind they are?  Do you?
Such a sweet little bloom!
On the balcony of the apt

Jane's sweet note to me

I love my beautiful French Flora Doora and lovely flowers.
 Merci Beaucoup Jane!

We made this a day of rest!
What will tomorrow bring?

Au Revoir,

Linda

Here,we'd call them Mini mums but I see the name in French is Little Queen Marguerite.

Oh, I love seeing the images from Rue Cler. First on the list when I would arrive at the apartment on Rue Cler was go down the street to buy flowers. Your selection is beautiful, and Jane's gift is adorable. Make the most of your last four days in Paris. Hugs ~ Sarah

I am so enjoying your tour of Paris and your fabulous photos, Linda! I too enjoyed more than my share of wine while we were there! I justify having it at lunch, too, rather than my usual Diet Coke (or "Coca-cola lite" as they call it!) as it's about the same price, and I really hate their diet coke! Love all of the flowers, that was so sweet of your friend to make you that gorgeous tote! Your flowers look like asters to me.

Sounds like you are having an amazing time! I am so happy for you:)

It looks like you're enjoying the flowers, bread and wine to the max!!
What else does one need when in Paris? Hope it is everything you thought it would be!!

Sounds like you two are having a wonderful time, Linda!
Your flowers are marguerite daisies, I think...at least that is what they look like to me.
Have a great week...

They have the most beautiful flowers there- where do they come from each day? And so many beautiful colors.
And the food looked great but I like my meat well done!

I have always said you are so loved. It is so rainy here that we are having flooding and so much loss and devastation. Wish I were with you. Beautiful flowers.

I'm so glad you bought flowers! That's exactly what I'd have done. I believe the flowers are Purple Asters. A perfect fall flower!
