Something is only a bargain if you really need it or really LOVE it!
Recently I shared a bargain I found for my new home
I bought this at Hobby Lobby for 80% off and was excited because the colors were right, it had the Eiffel Tower, french words and Paris on it!
Perfect! Except it wasn't!
I love the pillows which were also a bargain...love them! No hesitation, no second guessing my choice....but the wall art...hmmmmmm
I wanted to love it but somehow I didn't!
I think it's too big for my room and the dark center feels like a black hole somehow! So today I returned it! Whew...I'm glad I did.
Because a bargain isn't a bargain if you don't love it!
The right thing will come along and when it does I'll know it and I'll love it!
I am settling in here and finding this 2 bedroom duplex just perfect for me. I adore being closer to my daughter, SIL and of course Tiger!
Tiger recently spent a few hours here with me while his Mom and Dad did some chores at their house. We played and of course he had to 'eat'!
I think he is in a growth spurt again!
After lunch we had a treat! Grandma has these little tiny ice cream cones that are 'Tiger' size!
Yummy Grandma!
Want a bite???
I'm joining these parties!
Wishing you JOY,
Linda

So good to know I'm not alone Linda! I've bought things at a great price only to get them home and realize they looked nice in the store but, just don't work in my house. Tell Tiger Mr. B would like one of those yummy cones too! Ice cream is his favorite :-)
Linda, it's good to be discriminating about bargains. If you don't love it or need it, then you won't want to live with it.
Glad that you are getting this one on one time with little Tiger.
Tiger is growing up so fast. So happy you are now close by. Have a lovely week.

How right you are! If you don't love something, no need trying to talk yourself into keeping it. You will find the perfect piece soon! Looks like Tiger is enjoying that little cone...those are the perfect size for little hands and tummies! So happy to hear you are loving your new home and living close to your family!

You are so right, it's not a bargain if you don't love it. You gotta love store return policies!

I've never known a child who didn't find a need to eat at grandma's house.:-) Our grandchildren always go to the pantry to raid the "treat box.":-) xo Nellie
I think you did the right thing and boy will it be fun having Tiger over there. sandie
Looks like you're all settled in, that's so great your family is so close now!
You're a strong person to return the artwork that you thought would be perfect. I found some items of clothing I purchased last year, with tags on, that I've wondered..."what was I thinking." I just took them to Good Will!
Also, I just saw those little cones advertized on television and think my grands would love them too--perfect size for them:-D XOXO
It's a good thing you returned it. Lots of times I don't and regret it every time I look at it! I like ice cream cones as much as cute little Tiger does!
You must be in Tiger Heaven!! He is growing before our eyes!
Linda - you should leave that space above your sofa empty - until AFTER your trip to Paris. You will be taking a lot of pictures of Paris and you can make your own art to remember your visit for ever!! Select one of your photos and you can go to CVS (or any photo place) when you get back and have a large photo made on canvas. Or - at Target in their picture frame area, are some neat photo frames that are like a collage and you can select several of your photos from Paris and put them in the frames. There's so much you can do to make that area "your own!!"
You are so smart my friend! I have a few things I don't love that I hang on to...time to rethink that! Are you still going to have red as a pop of color in your living room decor? Enjoy your day and being close to your sweet Tiger!
I'm so glad you're there and settling in, what pure joy to have Tiger come by any time, and that's a sweet Grandma to have ice cream cones ready!
Hugs ~ Mary - counting down to Paris!
That Tiger sure has grown! He's so cute! I love bargains, too, but you're absolutely right....if ya don't love it, ya don't need it!
I see what you mean about the dark hole, and you are so right! I buy things way too much b/c the price is right, but not necessarily the item.
congrats on your new place, and i'm so glad you'll have more family time!
You are so right. If it's something you don't need or want, it really isn't a bargain. It's just wasted money. Hope you have a great day.

I'm happy to hear you were able to return it. Sometimes you just don't know how something will look until you get it home. You'll find something perfect. Maybe some Tiger art.
So glad you are so happy there, Linda. It was definitely the right move for you. hugs, Laura
Yes,you will find the RIGHT piece for your new home!
Awww...Tiger is such a happy little guy!
Warmly,
deb
You are so right, Linda. It's not a bargain if you don't really need it or love it. I can see why you thought the art would be perfect, but if it didn't work, something else will come along that will be great! Tiger is such a cutie, and I love those little ice cream cones too. laurie
Hi Linda...You will definitely find the right item to hang above the couch. Maybe it will be a shot of YOU, in Paris!
So glad you are happy with the move. Nothing is better than being close to a grandchild. Susan
It's so true that a bargain is only good if you love it. You are so lucky to be able to have Tiger pop in for a visit. I wish my grands were closer!
Enjoying your blog! The picture you purchased/returned would go well in my home. I see a trip to Hobby Lobby in my future.
Love to you! Carol
You are so right.....no matter how low the price, if it does not work, it's not a bargain. We are busy getting ready for the WLYS, I have been trying to paint furniture but it's difficult when it rains everyday. Sometimes I feel like I live in Oregon! Hope you are still planning a little trip to see us!
The wall art might not be perfect (love the pillows), but Tiger is. I want one of him.
Hi Linda! Oh well, you'll get it right. Now...look at little Tiger! I love this and thanks for popping in to see my Kiki blog.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
He is such a little cutie!! :)
Awwww.
Awwww.
It's Tiger!
And he is a doll!
An absolutely, total doll!
I am soooo glad you're close to him to see him grow!
Love those little ice creams!
What size what that picture you returned?
I liked the colors but the border was somehow odd.
Those chairs look great.. Don't they call those Windsor chairs? Looks like you and Tiger are bonding very nicely!
He's a cutie!
