Window Glass

I like to set glass in my front windows to catch the light.  One of my collections has a permanent place in the dining room window...my pretty Blue Birds of Happiness.  Not all of mine are made by the famous Terra Studios, but most of them are.  I've found them all at thrifts and yard sales.
Here is what the window looked like for quite awhile.  I love the blue glass pitchers also.
Recently I decided to change it up a bit and while in Hobby Lobby found two items for my window.
These pretty little glass tiles.
Dragonflies are very special to me!
There were two patterns and since I couldn't decide which one and they were 1/2 price...
I got both!
So these are some of my new favorite things along with some of my old favorite things!

Wishing you JOY,

I love them in a group like that, Linda! I have one that was a gift from a co-worker years ago when I left my favorite job to pursue other interests. I cherish it. I can see why these are a favorite thing because mine is. I've always loved it. :-)

I'm dropping by from Claudia's (but I would be dropping by anyway) to visit you. I'm enjoying her new meme. I like to see what people consider their favorite things. Being a magpie, I have many! ;-)

Have a great weekend. I came home for the night, but I'm off again soon!

XO,

Sheila

Linda - As you know I have a ton of these. If you go to the online store and look below the birds on the front page, there is a place to enter to win a bluebird - just type HAPPY in the Subject line. I signed up and won the very next week. Write a little extra about your collection or how much you love them and I bet you will win! Enter every week until you do.

I love your beautiful collection of bluebirds of happiness. They look so pretty with the sun shining through the window. I have one that I bought in Hot Springs, AR...years ago. They really are special! Sweet hugs!

Linda, I was in a neighborhood thrift store earlier today and saw a set of blue birds like these, $7. I thought it was a little high and I am not sure if they are Terra. I will go back to check them out, if they are still there! I have a dear friend who is also fond of dragonflies, she feels it is her nephew who passed coming down to pay a visit. :) xo

I also like the sun shining thru colored glass, and cobalt is my favorite shade of blue. In ,my decluttering efforts i almost got rid of some of my pieces, but backed off for now.
Enjoy your weekend.

The birds were pretty enough before but the stained glass really takes that display up a notch. Any kind of birds make me smile and bluebirds of happiness are even more cheerful!
