I love glass!
Clear, Blue, Amber, Red, Green
Today I'm sharing another one of my favorite pieces
This lovely covered compote was found at a thrift shop...coated with dirt and grease
Still I saw it's beauty! Lots of soap and scrubbing
and this gorgeous thing came to life
I keep candy in it when it's out on the coffee table
Not a bad for under $3
I'm joining Claudia for
Hugs,
Linda

I bet it's from the 1960's or 1970's. Avocado was big then. Nice candy dish, Linda.
How do you do it, how??? You always find such neat stuff, and Ilove the color.
Got any chocolate in there???
XO,
Sheila
Hi Linda, Your bowl is very pretty! That color is so back in now!! It's hard to believe. I remember when my parents' friends were all using it in their kitchens! Linda
You do find the best stuff. You know Susan loves colored glass too. So do I!
It is gorgeous, good thing you rescued it.
So pretty! $3 - You got a great buy.
Enjoy your weekend.
I absolutely love the color and the piece itself is exquisite. What a find--can I come thrift shopping with you:-D
Me again. :D Thanks for stopping by and nice comment. I prefer the mellowcreme pumpkins to the candy corn. I try to not have to many of those treats setting around. :D
Beautiful color and shape, Linda. Great find!
Wow, my mother had one just like that but in amber glass. Great find!
Very pretty! Great color and I love the detailed edge:@)
Really cute... and now I know where to look for the candy. :)
What a wonderful find - I love the shape and the colour...not to mention the price!
Your green compote is beautiful!
I probably would have passed right by that candy dish. You've brought it back to life! So pretty!
See you at the party!
Not bad at all! Such a pretty color of green - it reminds me of some pieces that were in my parents' living room. That's a treasure, my friend!
Thanks so much for joining in this week.

Lovely Linda!!
I want you for my partner!! They're opening up a new antique place where Big Lots use to be at Post Oak Tritt and Sandy Plains! I want a booth with YOU!!! Then you can buy alll you want and then sell! I'd love to buy-- but I need to down size so I've had to quit buying!!
I'm serious!! Think about it!!
What a great colour for this time of year! It just goes to show what most of us would pass by, not seeing the potential, you see!
Love it, Linda. That really is a pretty candy dish. Like you, I love all colors of glass.
Right now I have my amber glass lining kitchen shelves. Very pretty for fall.
Take care and have a super Saturday!Susan
Hello Linda....I have one on pink. Mine was also found for just a few dollars.
Oh my, it's gorgeous and such a bargain. What more could a body ask for!
Great find. You probably spend more money on the candy than you paid for the candy dish.
Your green glass is beautiful Linda.
I certainly remember that shade from the good ol' 70s!
Such a pretty find, Linda :)
Linda - Love that compote!! I remember that color well. Looks so fallish!!

What a wonderful find! I don't seem to have such luck with my thrifting.
Boy...she sure did clean up nice!!!
Blessings,
Linda
It's amazing what a little soap, water and elbow grease will do!!!
Wow! It'a an amazing one!
Green is so nice!
Who would have thought that melted sand would turn into such pretty things! I like glass too, unfortunately I am out of room. ~Ames
What a great deal! That green and the amber glass are so perfect for this time of year. I had an incredible Friday AND Saturday (in spite of the pouring rain) finding stuff--like great deals on jewelry and Fenton glass. The lady I got the Fenton from wasn't sure if it was Fenton so she had little question marks on her pricetags. On her very low price pricetags! I just love love love hunting for, and finding, bargains on vintage!!!!
So pretty. I just sold a light blue compote just like this on Etsy. It was hard to part with, but I have nothing blue....now this one would look great in my house!! What an amazing find!! It will be pretty at Christmas too!
Linda, your photos really captured the beauty of this piece. The way the light is shining on the sparling green class is so pretty. You find such amazing bargains. laurie
Wow Linda, it's beautiful. Glad you saw through all the grime and you were able to clean it up to perfection.
My grandma had a gold one, I wonder what happened to it. . . she had a wall of open shelves between the living and dining room and had all of her pretty glass displayed - you would have just died! Gold, orange crackle, blue, green - when the sun was shining they just sparkled.
That is a gorgeous piece for under $3!!!
That's a really gorgeous piece Linda! I love the old glass too, and if I had a bigger house, I'd have lots more of it!
Linda, thanks for the moral support. I dont' know how to resolve my blogger issues, but I have to do it on the weekend if Mr. M brings his computer home. I borrow his IPAD which also goes to work with him, but this is too hard to do anything on. I make typos right and left. LOL!
Love you and miss you.
XO,
Sheila
Absolutely beautiful!
this is so neat. I don't know if I've ever seen anything like this!
It looks like it would be gorgeous against a window!
Such a sweet surprise! They say one mans trash is another mans treasure. This is so pretty. I have bought a few tea cups that needed TLC before displaying them! Thanks Linda for the share.
What a beautful shade of green! And what a find for that price. It must look lovely when the sunlight shines on it.
