As we are starting to have cooler mornings I'm feeling more in the 'fall' mood!
Today's table uses some dishes I've had for a few years
and were found at a thrift shop
Vineyard Vernonware by Metlox California Pottery
was produced in 1960 through 1980
I really love the colors and pattern
I started with these tan place mats to anchor the dishes!
I added amber glassware.
These glasses were found at the World'sLongesYardSale four for a $1
I topped the plate stack with this amber compote
these were .50 ea at a thrift shop
Green napkins and wire napkin rings with green beads
add some texture to the table
I added the bronze handled flatware
I made a simple centerpiece....a thrifted amber canister missing it's lid
and some 'faux' greenery
This table would be great for dinner or even breakfast!

Hugs,
Linda

What a beautiful table and all thrifted! ~ Maureen
LInda, I find the soft warm colors of this tablescape very appealing. The dishes are delightful and the amber glassware adds a beautiful touch. Love the shape of the individual amber compotes. All great finds.........Sarah
Truly beautiful. The amber glass takes me straight back to my childhood and some beautiful fruit bowls of Grandma's. The bronze flatware is a great touch.
I know you've posted about how expensive the WLYS has become so you must've gotten those items at 4 for $1 several years ago! I just found an amber glass child's cereal bowl and divided plate and two Christmas plates with the original Tiara labels. Apparently Tiara made much of the amber sandwich glass and specialty items we see these days. My glass experts tell me amber is "in" right now but I don't think that translates to "valuable" unfortunately. Just popular. Your table is just lovely, as always--and I love anything made by Metlox!
I love pottery that stands the test of time and looks good no matter when it is used. I've always liked the colors in this pattern and you have used them well.
How pretty Linda. LOVE your Fall header too. The weather is getting cooler here as well. Have a great day.
Linda, I love the color of your dishes too. You always set such a pretty table. Where in the world do you store all of these?
