Junkin' with Donna & The Pink Post

I had a junkin date with my friend Donna (Distressed Donna Down Home)
We had to reschedule it due to my unplanned surgery but we were able to set a new date.  This time I drove to Augusta to meet her and see her booth!
We hit several thrift stores and antique malls during the day.  Now I confess to trying to take photos with my phone several times but it just would not work!  Too Hot?
Who knows, but we had a blast and as the day progressed most of my purchases had a common theme...PINK!
So here is the Pink Post!
This bowl was $1 and the decorated edge is raised and just so darn pretty!
This big stoneware crock is a lovely shade of PINK!
A sweet little Fire King berry bowl and an orphan shaker for my collection
This Hull pottery pitcher was so unusual and had so much PINK on it and was such a great price I had to have it.
A pretty PINK flower frog for my growing collection and I also found
this clear glass oval frog with large holes for candles.  Great prices on both.
These PINK pottery bookend planters had to be my favorite purchase.  A pretty low price and when I got to the checkout, 1/2 price!!  Score.

Donna and I had lunch at The Boil Weevil Cafe in Augusta, GA.  Such a cute little cafe and the sandwiches were excellent.  BUT, the desserts are out of this world!  I got to choose a piece of cake since we were celebrating my Birthday and it was a really hard choice. I finally went with the Coffee Toffee, layers of chocolate cake with a hint of coffee iced with coffee buttercream and dark chocolate genache!   Our waiter added a drizzle of raspberry over the whipped cream.  So this is probably the best cake I have EVER had!  Huge piece which Donna and I shared and I still had some to take home.  I would drive back there just for that cake!

Donna and I always exchange gifts!
I was able to pick out some things from her booth.  This PINK chalk board that Donna made and this PINK quilt that I saw on her blog and requested she save for me!  As always we had a great time!  Donna blogged about our adventure here so you can check out her great finds!

I am always on the lookout for Seasonal items at the thrift shops!
Look at these great shamrock coasters!  They will be perfect for a St. Patricks day table and for only $2

Look at these pretty Christmas items!
The hand made pot holders were .49 each
and the cute glasses were only $1
I love the vintage design!

My favorite find of the week

That spider is worth the .79 cents I paid!

Please remember this is Breast Cancer Awarness month!

UPDATE
I am in Texas and it looks like I will be here for several weeks.  My Mom has been having some health issues and the Dr's are running tests.  She has some inflammation they are treating and the side effects from the drugs are really affecting her. She is doing a bit better but until she is much better I will be here.  I will continue to post and I'm reading blogs and commenting as I can!  Thanks for your support as always!

More Touches of Fall

I went thrifting last week and was so lucky to find a few fall items.
I wanted to add them to my vignettes!
Just a few changes to this vignette
I like this even better.  I found this adorable cat tile with pumpkins for $1 and just had to have it!
I found this fall tile at another thrift store for $1 and thought it would be perfect on the table that holds the cubbies!
I like how it adds some more fall colors!
I added the owl from last weeks tablescape to this vignette and I love it.  The divided amber plate looks great here also!
October is breast cancer awareness month
I want to participate by adding pink to each one of my posts this month!

Let's Dish ~ Easter

This table was inspired by these guys!
I found these rabbits at a thrift store a few years ago (.80 each) and fell in love with them.  I think they are perfect for a simple Easter table!
Lots of pink this year!
I started with a dusty rose colored Fiesta plate, added a blue plate and then a cute pink polka dot salad plate.
A small milk glass bowl holds a pink plastic egg that will hold some Easter candy as a treat!
The napkins are the newest additions to my stash and were .25 ea at a thrift shop
I used my sweet little rabbit napkin rings
also .25 cents each bought at yard sales
The plate stack picks up the colors of the napkins
Centered on a pale pink place mat with white flat ware this place setting is ready for the food!
I love these wine flutes....I have found two at different thrift shops for under $1 each
When something is this pretty I will sometimes buy it when I only see one and this time I am so glad I did as I found a 2nd flute!

** Edited to add that the flutes are from Pierrier-Jouet Fleur de Champagne and come in special sets with their champagne....Thanks to Marlis for the information**
The hot pink placemat was .99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond...I added some faux flowers to a milkglass vase and voila....a center piece!
We will be having Ham, cheesy potatoes and green beans on Sunday.  I want something yummy for dessert but haven't decided what yet!
I love pink and blue together
Wishing you a wonderful Easter!
