RED & GREEN TABLESCAPE

If you remember last week I found this really cute snowman cookie jar!

He inspired a tablescape!

It's a fairly simple table, set for breakfast
I started with green place mats to pick up the green in the snowman's scarf

I played around with lots of plate combos but decided I really loved a couple of restaurant ware plates I have
that are made by Homer Laughlin USA
One in red and one in green
The patterns are different but compatible

I used a large white charger plate, red design plate, solid plate and white milk glass fruit bowl
The same layers in green
I'm using white handled flatware and a plaid napkin
The milk glass fruit bowls have a pretty shape and design.  I found both of these at thrifts at different times.  If you love something but there is only one, don't be afraid to buy it.  Often you will find another to add to it.   It has happened to me many times.
Cardinal S & P add more red to the table
I found this matching restaurant ware plate at the thrift last week for 35 cents

Here is my snowman cookie jar as the centerpiece
I added a red candle even if it is breakfast

Which made the snowman smile
Everything on this table was thrifted or bought on clearance (candle and napkins)
I'm joining

See you tomorrow for Junkin Finds Friday!

Ahhh, Linda..this is a precious table. I do remember that you found the cute cookie jar..never thought about using it for a centerpiece and it's just perfect.
I am a firm believer that a candle is needed ANY TIME you sit down at the table to eat. It just makes such a cheery statement to me. :)

We don't have a Trader Joe's here...wish we did.

Hi Linda-looks like you had fun with this one...it looks great. and how fitting that there is a snowman since it just doesn't seem to want to stop snowing this winter!
I just realized I never answered your email, so when I'm done visiting I will hop to it!

You ARE the daring gal, aren't you? Decorating with red and green AFTER THE HOLIDAYS?! All your stuff is great--I have swirly bowls like that, even a large one but I think it's crystal and I THINK they were made by Anchor-Hocking. I pick up those Homer Laughlin restaurantware plates whenever I find them because they're so sturdy and you can throw them in the dishwasher. Oh, and I had my blog book made by the SharedBook Store--I think their ad popped up when I signed out of Blogger. Word of advice--you get a certain number of pages for about $20 but after that it goes up per page--it cost me $88.65 for my entire year in hardcover (free shipping, though). Be sure to leave out the comments left after your posts since that will really ramp up the number of pages. They do a great job!
