GIVEAWAY TIME

Good Morning!  I was hoping to have this giveaway posted last night but alas, blogger had other ideas.  Here it is finally!  Before Christmas I reached the amazing goal of 400 followers!  I am humbled and honored that so many of you enjoy my blog enough to hit that follower button!  So here is the giveaway as promised!

It's January and a good time to take a little break and pamper yourself!
Many of you know what a huge Mary Kay Andrews fan I am.  I even got to meet and junk with her this past summer!  I posted about that visit to Scotts Antique Market here.   So when I found these copies of her books I knew this was my next followers giveaway!
Of course you every girl needs some chocolate to munch on while reading

And a cup of tea in the cold winter months

How to enter this giveaway?
1. You must be a follower of this blog...after all it is a 'followers' giveaway!
2. Leave a comment telling me one of your favorite books and authors.
That's it!  This giveaway will end on Jan 12th at noon eastern time.  I will use random.org to pick a winner.  You will be notified so make sure you have email on your blog or leave me a way to contact you or another winner will be chosen.

I never dreamed a little over a year ago when I started blogging that I would have so many followers or as I like to call you Friends!  It's been a blessing to me and continues to be each and every day.
The link for Junkin Finds Friday will be up later tonight assuming the blogger co-operates!

Hugs and Happy Junkin!
Linda

You know I am a follower, one of my favorite books is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone(the whole series really), by JK Rowling. Juvenile, I know, but it really is a great series for any age(it was recommended to me when I was 24 by a then 71 year old-she was right, I love it!). Cool giveaway Linda!

My favorite book is The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It's about a family from the U.S. and their horrible struggles after relocating the The Congo.
On a lighter side, my favorite crafty book is French Inspired Jewelry by Kaari Meng. The photos in this book are the best I've ever seen.

Hi Linda

One of my favourite authors is Ruth Rendall, are you familiar with her? Her portrayal of characters, who are often misfits and rather weird, is always fascinating. She also writes as Barbara Vine. Would heartily recommend.

Happy New Year btw!

Hi Linda,

I also looove the Harry Potter books, they are far from juvenile Erin, lol! In fact, they are ageless.

I love To Kill a Mockingbird for its moral value and, on a lighter note, I love anything by Sophie Kinsella (Shopaholic series).

The book I am reading now, "Suite française" by Irene Nemirovski, is pretty darn good, she was an excellent writer.

That said, this list could go on, there are far too many good books out there.

Kntkly, I have also read some of Beverly Lewis' books, I am fascinated with anything Amish. (I admire their simplicity.)

Have a great day all!

So difficult to choose, but I love the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series by Alexander McCall.

What a fun giveaway LInda — chocolate, tea and books!

Happy New Year and you know I'm a follower.

I read John Grisham. Reading the Confession right now! Takes me "home" to the South (or even to the USA for that matter). Love his books!

Congratulations on your 400th Friend! Great giveaway! I am a happy follower! I cannot pick just one favorite author or book. I am an extremely avid reader and rather eclectic in my choices. My house is full of books and they range from Shakespeare to chick lit and, yes, I have read all of them – they are not just for decorating! Well okay, I do not keep any of the chick lit because one read is enough but I never get tired of the classics.

It can not be Friday again so soon. This week has flown by and I have little to show for it. (Some clean litter boxes!)
Since I have the books and really need no chocolate (trying to get healthier, umm, sure) I won't be in the giveaway but still want to say CONGRATULATIONS.
Favorite authors? I have shelves full of books that if I did nothing but read from now til forever I could not finish. From groups I joined I was swayed (happily) in the direction of Fern Michaels, Maeve Binchy, Nora Roberts, Nicholas Evans, Nicholas Sparks, and more; from business blogs I read I am revisiting Wayne Dyer, Norman Vincemt Peale, Napoleon Hill, Zig Ziglar and others (the authors of my younger days). One of my favorite books to reread is The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. And should I ever find myself on a beach I will take with me the Cat Who books of Lilian Jackson Braun.

I also love Lillian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who ..." series. I have always had Siamese cats, until recently, and I really enjoy the way they star in Ms. Braun's books.

Hello!! Believe it or not... Mary Kay Andrews IS my favorite author!! I just love her books! They are a fun read. I have read "Hissy Fit" and a couple of others, but have not read all of them. My other favorite author is Sandra Brown. Over the summer, I read "The Crush". It was a good mystery with a little bit of romance, too. Right now, I am reading the 2nd book in the Harry Potter series. I'm a little "late" reading them, but I am having fun!
