BITS AND PIECES

I feel like I lost a week....this ice and snow have kept me inside and for some reason not doing much at all.  Still how did it get to be the 15th of January??

I need to give some thank you's to blogger friends!

When a blogging friend knows you love something crazy like Flamingo's and they take the time to send you a surprise box full of goodies...well I can't believe its taken me this long to say thank you and share these with all of you!  My sweet and wonderful friend Marigene did just that back a couple of months ago.
Just look at these adorable glasses!  I love them and I can't wait to use them on a special tablescape!
This little candle holder was also included
And a vintage saucer from a restaurant!
I love it!

Marigene has had a really rough time lately.  Her nephew lost his life a few months ago to an undetected heart defect and just last week her sweet 90 year old Mother passed away.  I am sending her much love and prayers as I type this!

I also won a giveaway from Missouri Michael who's blog Cul-de-sac Shack is so much fun!
I love this glass owl!  And ladies get this....I was comment #1 and yes I won in a random drawing!  See it can happen!
Thanks Michael!

Last week on JFF I showed a gravy boat I found at the thrift!  My new friend Sherry sent me a matching plate she found after seeing my post!
I will use this plate with the gravy boat in a future tablescape!  Sherry is a fairly new blogger so I hope you will visit her at

I'm joining Laurie for her
A Few of my Favorite things party!

Happy Junkin,
Linda

Have you noticed all the owl stuff around? Maybe it is because our son really likes them, but I am seeing them everywhere! I know exactly how you feel, we have missed a week of school and are out tomorrow for MLK Day. I will be glad to get back into the swing of things! Also we have used up ALL our snow days. Oh well, it was beautiful and I really loved being home with hubby, we have had some terrific times!

You certainly have made some nice friends in blogland. I wish you all the luck with little Callie. I presume from the name she is a calico like what I have just brought into our home. Do post some pictures soon so we can all see how sweet she is. If I can help with the 'introductions' let me know. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5 &1 little calico

What wonderful treasures! I love flamingos, even the plastic kind that you stick out in the yard. My family thinks they're tacky or I'd have some. I enjoyed my visit with you this morning!

Hi Linda, Re: your comment on my blog, I did not sell anything on Etsy during the several months I had things listed there. I guess for what I sell Ebay is a better store. Hope your fortune improves.

Well now, I came to comment on your Red and White snowflake tablescape (which is fabulous btw), but was dragged away when I saw the flamingo goodies in this post. I love them all, but that plate is a real treasure. Better hide it away if you ever hear I'm in your neck of the woods, lol
