SANTA CLAUS AND MORE....

I have been shopping the thrifts lately but not buying much.  However I have found a few little items to share!
I found these Hazel Atlas Moderntone dishes
I got 8 pieces for $2

I found these in a new to me thrift shop
two plates for 95 cents
I really like this blue and brown design

Now for a few Christmas items
This Enesco Santa was $1.21 and the basket was 40 cents
I like his vintage look
I found this Hallmark Santa last week
I love the pack on his back...he is a tealight holder and was 99 cents
I paid 40 cents for this sweet book
I want to start a
Christmas book Advent Calendar
This idea is from My Mink Betty
She shared this in her Junkin Finds Friday post and is having a giveaway of some children's books to get you started on one of your own.  Please check out this wonderful way of counting down the days to Christmas.
"This made Mary very happy"

I'm joining these parties!

Don't forget to come back for Junkin Finds Friday
the link will be up Thursday evening

Happy Junkin,
Linda

I must say once I saw the sweet childrens book I was distracted and almost forgot to leave a commnet .
My mind began racing with a desire to search the house top to bottom to see how many childrens books I had saved .
Thank you so much for this truly wonderful post !

Those Santas are cute...have you been naughty or nice this year!

We have that exact same book. I read it to my kids over and over when they were little.
I love the color in those Atlas Moderntone dishes. Reminds me of saltwater taffy.

I like those pastel like colors they're cute! What amazes me most is the price, two dollars what a catch. Thanks for the share. Enjoy the season!

Thanks for mentioning the advent calendar and my giveaway. That is a very cute little book. I like those "Please read to me" books. They are usually very inexpensive, and I love the bunnies in the upper corner.
I love the moderntone dishes, too.

I love the atlas dishes.....8 pieces for $2.00. That is a score. Good for you. I have the same book, actually my daughter does. It was hers when she was younger. I take out all her Christmas books each year for a display and if I have young ones visit. Thank you for sharing.

I love that Enesco Santa and the glass plates, but what really made me grin are those Hazel Atlas dishes. I love them! Wouldn't it be great to picnic with those? They just look like they should be used either for a picnic or at a Formica kitchen table.

What's great about the Hazel Atlas stuff is you can mix and match everything and it always looks wonderful. I had a couple of those plates, too, but "regifted" them back to the local thrift where I'd gotten them once I realized they were made in Mexico. Nothing wrong with that except that means they're new and not sellable at the antique mall. Of course I'm loving all your Santas, since you can never have enough of Mr. Claus, you know!

I love those plates. If you can believe it I have boring white plates. Think I need to get a mish-mash of vintage plates and start using those instead!

Love the moderntone dishes - we see them occasionally, but they're normally priced so high! Who makes the plates, are they by Termocrisa? I think we have a few in a similar pattern.

Linda, Do you get tired of me saying the same thing every time I visit your blog? I am always just floored by your finds. What deals you got! All of the Christmas decor is great. How neat to find those two plates with the blue and brown - such a current "in" color combination. laurie

I love you Santa's - I have a lot of them for the tree and one year did Santa's and red bows only - a red tree with white lights.

This year I am still working on it!

What a festive post! I went over to My Mink Betty and already copy and pasted her instructions for the advent calendar. I'm going to start one to add to my granddaughter's Hope Chest. She's 20yo and I think it will be a lovely gift for her to share with my future great-grandchildren. Thanks for sharing her blog with us!

Merry Christmas, I hope you win her giveaway!
