BIG NEWS!

Hi all!  It has been a crazy week and I've not had time to do much posting.  I am behind on everything!  Tree is waiting for the ornaments, packages are waiting to be wrapped a prepared for shipping and those Christmas cards are still untouched! I do however have some wonderful big exciting news!
As many of you know(since I haven't stopped talking about it since I found out) my daughter Sara and SIL Blake are having a baby in April.  My first Grand child.  Such excitement in all of our lives.  Here is my cute girl showing her little baby bump.
Sara and Blake invited me to go along with them for the ultrasound on Nov 11th!  This was my first time seeing an ultrasound because back in my day they only did it for serious complications.  It was truly amazing!
Baby was nestled way down low but we were able to see details of hands, feet, bones, heart, spine and so much more.  I was so blessed to be able to view my grandbaby before the birth!  Amazing technology!
So the BIG question....boy or girl!

IT'S A BOY!!!

We are all so happy and excited!
Sara and Blake live in an old house converted into apts.
The baby will have a nook in their room.  Yesterday I went to visit them and they put together the crib and changing table.  The crib bedding they chose just arrived this week!  It was so much fun to see it all put together.
I love the bedding colors and how cute are the rocket ships?
I am the happiest Grandma in the world right now!

I am joining in with Laurie for

(sorry I'm late joining in)
and

Hugs to all!
Grandma Linda

How incredibly wonderful, Linda. I loved the ultrasounds. Isn't that just so amazing? I had one too and my son was actually giving us two thumbs up! The lady who did the ultrasound actually wrote on it in the corner: "Everything's A-Okay!" It was so cute.

I'm so darned happy for you. You have got to be beaming. Your daughter is just adorable and I love the crib and rockets, and the lion... how cute! I like the color combination, too. Before you know it, April will be here and you'll be meeting your grandson for the very first time. Oh my gosh! All kinds of wonderful going on for you all.

You are all very, very blessed.

Hugs,
Susan

How exciting!! I can relate to your happiness as my son and his beloved are expecting too... in the summer , I have one of those ultra sound pictures on my fridge but the baby is too small at the moment to see it clearly, still exciting though. I am patiently waiting to see if it is a girl or boy so I can start shopping. Your daughter is beautiful and glowing. I bet Grandma is glowing too!
Babies are such blessings~

Like you, I went with my daughter to her ultrasound, and it was SOOO special to be the first to see our darling grandson. Part of me wishes that folks nowadays could have the feeling of anticipation and uncertainty in their pregnancies that we had, wondering if their precious baby would be a boy or a girl.

Congratulations.
