In The Groove!

I am trying to be back in the groove and join in some of my favorite parties

I love this very small tin of Charles Chips I purchased from my friend Sherry.  It's a sampler tin from this famous snack company.

I found this adorable Morton Pottery cactus planter
(the cactus would be the tail....cute)
I only paid $1 for this guy!

Do you remember all the glass apple dishes I found on my road trip a few months ago?  Well I found these two small bowls, 60 cents each, and had to add them to my dish closet.  Oh yes, look for an Apple table in the fall!

Lastly I found these two black Fiesta plates at the thrift shop.  Pretty scratched up, but for 35 cents each they will be a great addition to my tablescaping!

I'm joining

I hope you will go by and check out these great blogs and their fun parties

toujours,
Linda

I have a Charles Cookie tin. My hubby uses it to store his shoe polishing stuff. I too would love to get back in to joining parties, it inspires me to see what others are doing.

Oh you would love the large hand blown apple Princess House had years ago! There was a small one too. Use to buy them for the kids teachers! Pretty filled with red wrapped candies!
I always think of you when thrifting. Nothing much this weekend but I found a mini long haired doxie I will send to Suzanne in Texas! She has 3 real ones!
You find such sweet deals!
I love the old school birthday angels and found a little October angel yesterday! She is cute and sweet! :)
Great vintage Linda!

The little tin is so cute! I never heard of Charles Chips before. Must be a regional thing.

I'm taking lessons from you and finally finding those $1 items!

I sure would love to get back in the groove too. I haven't even been out of town like you were. UGH.

As for your thrifty finds, my favorite is the Charles Chips. I am nearly positive that my MIL still stores in her great big one that she had the whole time her boys were growing up.

Linda, I love all your finds! I am looking for an item I have in storage. When I find that I would love for you to send me your mailing address, I want to send you something! I will let you know when to send it.It is too hot in the storage room to go searching right now.

I confess I thought those were pencil holders! But a cactus makes soooo much more sense. Now next time I see one, I might have to buy it. I'm sure my husband thanks you for giving me a reason to buy more junk.

Thanks for the memories that Charles Chip can brought back. They were the best chips and cookies. That little cat planter is so cute. I can't wait to see it after you've added a cactus "tail" to it.
