Yes, this is my first spray paint make over. I found this metal stand at a yard sale last summer
The lady told me it was painted black but she painted it gold...
I wish she hadn't!
But it had good bones and for $3 I decided I would repaint it
But what color?
I chose Pistachio
I have read everyone's comments about spray painting so
I just went for it
Not bad!
The color looks great on my weathered deck
I'm sure it will be moved around to find the perfect location and then plants added. I am really happy with the color.
This will not be my last spray painting makeover. It was easy and fun!
I'm joining two parties today
Linda for Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays
&
Stephanie for her fun
Krylon Kapers Party
This party is open all week so go over and share your spray paint makeovers!
Hugs,
Linda

Not bad at all - isn't spraying FUN. I've only done a few pieces but I impressed myself with the results. Great color for your plant stand.

Love the color. I had my first experience with Oil Rubbed Bronze people have blogged about. I think it looks black! :(
Love that color! GREAT $3 investment!
That turned out pretty neat! I spray painted two wicker chairs once....took almost 15 cans, LOL!
Linda, now we know that Pistachio is as good to look at as they are to eat. That's a great color and your project turned out great. Spray paint is amazing. Joni

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
Your very first spray paint project?!?! Charlie, is she serious??? Well I can tell you from experience, this won't be the last, but rather the first of many many many things. Paint can make most anything look a lot better......oh oh....Charlie, if she starts looking at you funny, RUN CHARLIE RUN!
P.S. - No Ms. Linda, you need not worry about the little bird, I would never ever touch it. "She" would never allow it. NEVER. "She" looked for it several times today and thought "she" heard leaves moving but never could find it. But you know "she" will look again tomorrow....
Love the color, Linda! Turned out wonderfully!
The pistachio is perfect for the deck. Good for you!
Looks beautiful! Im a massive fan of spray paint and have spruced up many an item - its so easy and fun :o) Scarlett x
Love it!
Oh it looks so much better! The pistachio color was a great choice too.
Linda, I remember when you got this last year and you said it was going to get a spray paint job. And yeah, it looks great! So, now that you know how easy it is to change something up with spray paint, are you mentally thinking, "Hummm...now THAT would look so much better if it was painted a different color?"
Love it, well done. The color is terrific! Big hugs
Oh boy, look out Linda. Once you start you will never stop. It takes you to a whole new level of thrifting, lol.
It looks amazing. LOVE IT
and you

Nice makeover on this stand! I have yet to attempt my first spray paint makeover. With warm weather headed this way in the weeks to come, I think I will finally get around to it! Beautiful color you chose, too!

OOOH! I love Pistachio and am so glad to see you have used it!!! I love your stand and really, gold???lol This looks like a piece that will get much use and love!
I love your first attempt. You did a fantastic job. I love the color, it is so soft. Not harsh like most spray paints. It looks great like it is but I am sure you will find the perfect spot. Hugs, Ginger
Lovely color! I just picked up some sprays on sale at our local Lowes... It's been too windy to paint and we are going to have some rainy days here for the better part of the week....oh well, I will have to sew instead LOL
