Junkin' Awards 2014

It's that time for my favorite Junkin Awards
I've been doing this annually since 2009
My 'junkin' has slowed down, but I still love the thrill of the hunt and finding special treasures for my home!

Favorite Find in Pyrex
I had to skip this category last year as I didn't buy any Pyrex...I know!  But this year I found this wonderful piece of Town and Country and knew it would be perfect for my Thanksgiving table.

Favorite Find in White and Blue
These two mini pottery pieces are just so sweet!
I see another collection in the making!

Favorite Find in Green
This ironstone creamer was my choice for this category.  The green on it just made me fall in love with this sweet piece.

Favorite Find in Red
I've longed for a pair of S&P's with red tops so finding these for $2 just made me so happy!

Favorite Find in Pink
Usually a hard category to choose just one favorite from, but this wonderful pottery vase made the top of the list easily this year.

Favorite Find for Tiger
The favorite find for Tiger by far is this tray table
He uses it every time he visits to eat from.  Those cups came in handy also but the tray is the winner and was so inexpensive!

Favorite Find in Plates
Tablescaping took a 'vacation' on my blog this year and I didn't find too many additions to my dish closet.  But these 4 little Christmas plates for $1 were too good to pass up.  Look for them next year when I hope to be doing more tablescapes.

Favorite Find from the WLYS
I didn't make this event this year since I was in Colorado visiting my friend Kathe! We did do some junkin and many of my favorite things from that day made it in other categories but this was a pure 'Colorado' find
These Coors pottery bowls made in Colorado!

Favorite Find for Christmas
This cute sleigh was my favorite Christmas find and became the centerpiece of my table this year!

Favorite Find 'in' Paris
Well last year I did find some items IN Paris, but since I do find items to add to my Paris collection I'm keeping this category
This made in France gravy boat is the clear winner of my favorite Paris find this year

That wraps up 2014 for me!

Wishing you JOY,

That little salt and pepper set is very sweet! Love your awards post! It's so much fun to look back and our favorite things. One of mine would be the reader that you gave me! It's right here on the table beside me. Happy New year my friend and Sis! Hugs, Diane

Looks like a great year for thrifting! We went out today and I got 3 terrific tool boxes and a tackle box. We found these amazing red bottles and I even got a minnow bucket. What fun we have buying other people's junk! Happy New Year!

I do think the Paris creamer is the best find~

I remember my mother having the exact same set of S&!
Now has Charlie selected his faves of the year? Anything he was exceptionally interested in when you unpacked it?

Hi Linda - so nice to 'meet' you! Thank you for your sweet visit! I love all of your vintage finds - especially the Pyrex and I am particularly coveting those red-topped shakers! I just switched my kitchen decor to white and red....I love your blog and congratulations on being a Grandma in April. I am going to be a first time Grandma in May. So many blessings for both of us. Happy New Year! xo Karen

I am thinking the creamer with the pretty green leaves and the dainty little yellow and orange flowers is my favorite. I can see a little bouquet of daisies to decorate the summer breakfast table in it.

I can feel my resolve to cut back on the thrifting this year dissolving.... along with my resolve to thin out my collections of this and that....Candy

I love your Christmas plates! Since they are just snowmen and not overtly Christmassy I would be happy to use them year round :)
