I love Paris!
I am so sad about the recent events there not just for the loss of life, but the attack on freedom!
This article from 'A La Carte~Paris Apartment Rental' is very moving and I encourage you to read it HERE

Thanks Linda. So sad and terrible, but the human spirit is amazing.

I actually thought of you and your love of Paris when I heard this awful news. As a former journalist and still aspiring writer, it saddens me even more. The holding up of pencils and pens really got me in my heart. The US should have been been there in that line of dignitaries. Sad that we weren't.

Hi Linda!
They said on the news this morning that it was the largest congregation in Paris since the liberation of Paris in WWII. The world is such a heartbreaking and scary place now - this coming together was so amazing and inspiring, made me cry.

The state of the world is pretty sad and getting more so by the day. I really feel for the babies just starting life, they will never know freedom as we did.

It is just terrible what is happening in Paris and thru out France. So scary and heartbreaking. I am glad to see the French people standing strong and marching for freedom. So hard to believe there is such evil in this world.

I must address one of the comments on this post:

Marigene, please don't be a defeatist…..if what you say is true, it is because we don't take a stand for freedom like our founding fathers! We need to stand-up for freedom here at home first and then around the world second.

Vive la France!

I was so proud to be part of the unity march in Atlanta on Sunday and was touch by the words and emotion of the Consulate General who spoke at the end. Roughly 400 people walking in silence here in Atlanta in sympathy and support and standing against hatred, violence and terrorism. Wish you could have joined me.

Thanks for sharing Linda. The march in Paris was such an amazing outpouring of solidarity. United we stand!!

Horrifying. Je Suis Charlie, absolutely. But I also think we need to hear the same outcry for those 2000 people who were slaughtered in Nigeria a few days ago, including the strapping of bombs on children. It's all so evil, so despicable. Paris, Nigeria, Pakistan...the list goes on and on.

I thought about you when I heard the news. One of my cousins loves Paris as much as you do. She's been four times. She was crushed by the news. So sad.
