It's A Brand New Year!

Welcome to 2015!
I wanted to start the new year with a fresh new look for my blog!  My friend Brenda @ Cozy Little House has been helping others refresh their blogs for many years and now has started a small design business. We choose a template from Etsy and then Brenda personalized it for me!  I love it!  She spent a lot of time on it and called me to discuss everything.  She charged a very reasonable amount so if you are not so savvy in the blog design world,
she is your girl!
I hope you like the change!
I've set some goals for 2015!
I want to improve my health by eating better, getting more exercise and just taking time for me!
I also want to continue to simplify and downsize my 'stuff'.  Oh I'll still junk cause I love it, but if things come in then things must go out.  I don't want to be owned my things.
I also hope to do some crafting this year.
With a new baby due in April, I plan to help out as much as a Grandma can!
I also will turn 65 in June and I think I want to celebrate it in some special way!

So join me here at A La Carte as I travel the roads I call my life.   Your friendship means so much to me and it wouldn't be the same without you!

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

I love that header, and Brenda is a genius!

Congrats on the new grandlittle to come, Linda, and boy do I hear you about not being owned by your things. I am facing the same thing. I am starting by taking seven things to the thrift store. Tiny start, but worth it!

I look forward to 2015 adventures with you!

I DO like the new look, Linda. It is "clean" and so fresh! Your goals and desires are do-able and won't you feel fine as you work towards them?!?

Happy New Year!

Your new header is very chic. Brenda did a great job creating it for you.

The proud mother to be is absolutely radiant, the smile on her face speaks a million words. I know you will be walking on air when your new grandchild is born.

Your goals for the year will inspire me to do the same. I will follow and try and be inspired by your examples. As my weight has climbed over the years my blood pressure seems to be trying to keep up with the increases in my weight. Eating healthier and getting more exercise would go a long way to help me loose weight and feel better. I am looking forward to your posts for 2015.

Love your blogs new look, Linda! That photo of the flowers is gorgeous, that must be in Paris:) Bet you can hardly wait to meet your new granddaughter when she arrives this spring! How exciting! And yes, you must do something neat to celebrate your birthday. I too am always trying to purge things, one thing in, at least one thing out! Not always easy when I love to thrift, too!

Your new design is fabulous, and yes, Brenda is definitely the gal to go to. I have WP but if I didnt, I would be on the horn with her in no time flat.

Congrats on the soon to be new baby Linda! Nothing like grandchildren!

I love the new look. It's very bright and cheery. In other words, it's very very Linda! Yay! Good luck on your goals. You might want to add some specific (reasonable) numbers and deadlines to some of them to make it easier to see if you are meeting them. For example: "I will lose 20 pounds by September" or "I will take two hours every week for "me" time." It helps me stay on track.
