$6.05 For All This!

Today I took a bag of things to the thrift shop and of course I had to look around
and of course I found a few things!
They all fit into this blue gift bag!
and only cost $6.05

So what's inside?
Five books and a great little hammered metal container originally from Bed, Bath & Beyond
Some linens including a pink linen pillow cover for my bed and a cute Christmas burlap bag
Four placemats green and red plaid
I can't wait to do a table with these at Christmas!

this gorgeous milk glass plate and three glass pepper ornaments
A pumpkin to craft with, a glass Christmas jar and this owl
He still has the paper Enesco sticker on the bottom
I think he is very cool!!

This thrift store supports Battered Women and Children and is my favorite place to shop here.
Nothing is priced (which usually drives me crazy) but it's always so inexpensive I never feel like I'm paying too much.  I like to support this store and boy do I!!

Joining

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

I love Susan Mallory and have read a lot of her romance novels. I find she has a great sense of humor. I will have to check out Barefoot Season although I think it's more of a serious book. I would be interested to see if she still shows her humorous side. Let me know if you read it and what you think..

The books and silver container alone would have been great bargains for your $6, and then I saw ALL the other things you got. Those red pepper ornaments are pretty, you did great. I went to the Goodwill book store today and got 3 hardcover books for $10, you are doing better with your thrifting but I like my purchases too.

I sure wish our thrift stores had prices like yours, but they're prices are more like antique stores. Love the metal jar and the sweet owl.

Love the sweet and well, all your finds. We have a thrift that supports and offers shelter to abused women also, and they get a lot of my donations. Such a worthy cause.

Would love to see your pumpkin when you are done crafting.

You are wonderful Linda!!
Forget downsizing ---- You are awesome at Recycling!!!
You make me think of my Baby Girl - when growing up here at the house - I'd walk in her room and at least once a week she rearranged things - including her bed. I never went into her in the dark. I go to her house now and things are ALWAYS arranged differently.
You must need new and different things!! What you have and display is always lovely - the way you combine colors and pieces!! You then take in a bag and come home with new things!!
Ashley says I'm boring - I have the same things in the same place for the past 23 years!! Except for Christmas of course!!! Love your shopping adventures and that owl!!!

Happy birthday to your mom! I got stuck on Charlie and forgot to say Happy Birthday to the prettiest mama! I love thrifting but have been good lately and staying away! HeeHee....love the causes these places support. Which is why I am not a huge fan of Goodwiil. I go to the ARC which employs people with disabilities. The Salvation Army too, always lending a helping hand and my friend Sandy lives near one that has the very best furniture! Sigh!I am loving my catch up time here with you! Love and Hugs, Anne
