Thrifty Things Friday #150

Diann and I are so glad to see you

This week I'm sharing a thrifty organizational tip with you.  It's not original to me but I finally decided to try this and I love it.
Scarfs....I love them!
I wore them daily in Paris and bought a few to bring home.  Putting them in a drawer and having to search through them when I want to wear one is a I decided to try this.
I took one of my wooden hangers and used plastic shower rings I bought at the thrift shop
I put the rings on the hanger and each ring holds a scarf!
I can see them at a glance and I love it!
I hung mine on the inside of the closet door on an hook rack that was already there so it doesn't tip as it does just hung from the hanger hook.
Easy and inexpensive.  I can also hang this inside the closet out of the way during the summer when no one wears a cute scarf in Georgia!

That's my little thrifty tip this week.
I can't wait to see what you have to share.

Wishing you JOY,

Huge idea Linda! I don't wear scarves, I have a short neck and look silly when I try (same with hats but that story is for another day)but I could see your idea used for belts too!

I have never been a scarf wearer but there are many pretty ones around, it just doesn't get cold enough to wear them here

Great tip Linda. I have some on a hanger without the rings and they keep sliding off.

I'm right there with you Linda!! I love my scarves and use to hang them over the towel rack in my bathroom so I could just grab and go!!
My collection got to be too many as well. I went to WalMart and in the bathroom accessories you will find a -- I don't know what you call it. But it hooks on the door with 6 coat hooks on it. I'm going to have to take a picture of it for you -- but it has double hooks so I can hang my scarves on the top and the bottom. And it was pretty cheap!!

OK - back again! The hooks on this thing that hangs on the door - looks like your three white hooks you have attached to your door - just more of them. It does help to keep them organized and you don't forget about a few that get lost under the others.
