I had a little bit of time the other day so I stopped into one of my favorite Antique Malls, Junk in the Trunk! I gave myself $10 to spend. So can you pick the item I bought?
Pink McCoy pottery but $15 will I splurge?
Vintage pottery and only $4
More McCoy pottery but also $15
I love these glasses, a set of 8 for $10 but I already have some in green so should I buy these?
A fur collar and only $10??
Pretty hobnail glass (it's pink but didn't show up well in photo) $10
Even more McCoy
and this one is only $5!!
Art Deco looking pottery vase, black and PINK and .... only $10
So what did I buy?
Well I didn't buy this adorable thing
It is a baby tub, the lid comes off!
Only $85 but I wanted to share the photo because I thought it was so sweet!
So after much looking and thinking I brought home...
The yellow McCoy planter for $5
I love how it fits in with my other McCoy yellow pottery and is so Springy!
I've also been doing more with my watercolors (I'm obsessed I tell ya)
First flower. It was an exercise using only one color and I was to try and get different levels of transparency. It's only OK but I'm learning so much.
I really like this one. I used a wet on wet method to get the more blurred images and it was fun.
An exercise using only 4 colors.
I must tell you I am loving watercolor painting so much! I had to order some more watercolor paper and I got some great deals from Amazon. I also got a fun set of brushes I'll play with and share soon.
My beautiful daughter Sara turned 35 yesterday. I love this photo from when she was 5 years old. She still has that smile and yes, Tiger looks just like her!
So now my only question for you...
Should I got back and see if this vase is still there?
I really do love it!
Wishing you JOY,
Linda

I guessed right!
I figured it was McCoy and only $5.
Hi Linda,
You did much better than I would, I'm not sure I could stick to my budget with all that good stuff. Love the yellow piece and yes, you should go back and get that.
Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter.
hugs,
Sissie
I guessed right. Yes Tiger does look just like his beautiful mama. xo Laura
She does look like Tiger!
I had hoped you got the first tea cup in pink, but I like the yellow too.
And the bath tub now that was interesting.
Love, sandie
If you love that vase, Linda, go BACK. Little things in life are important. Oh my gosh. Tiger is a spitting image of his Mama. So happy you had fun! Susan
P.S. Oh my gosh. Forgot to tell you how lovely your watercolor paintings are. The one with the pink flowers is a treasure! Hugs. Susan
Love your paintings, Linda! And I adore your purchase. I say, YES! go back!
I would have been tempted by the pink glass. And usually, I think if I was able to pass something up the first time, I don't love it enough. But if you are thinking about it...go get it! LOVE your art! I wish I was talented enough to paint. Hugs!
I thought we were going to get that pink and black vase! I think you should go back and see if it's still there! You are an artist! I think it would be fun to paint, other than walls that I do around the house! LOL!
warmly,
deb
So hard to stick to a budget of $10!! Love that bath tub but not at that price.
Linda ... just love your watercolors. I can see why you are excited to do more. Looks like you had fun shopping and good that you stuck to your spending limit. Love that baby bath tub. Have never seen one like that. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Audrey Z.
Linda, your watercolors are so beautiful. I would go back for the first pink MCCoy bowl. You can't go wrong with any of the pieces.
You did good and I figured that was the pottery you would choose. Linda, your watercolors are turning out so well, I am glad you found a hobby you like (besides thrifting).
You bought what I would have bought (only I would probably use it in my office as a holder) and I would have wanted the pink vase too and I think at that price you should go get it. And I love your pink poppies!
Wow! Tiger looks just like his mom:-D I would have bought all of these!
Hi Linda! Oh, you're good! I love all of these little sweet things! Isn't it something how much little Tiger looks like his mother! That smile - it comes from you! Thanks for popping in to see me and your sweet comments on my minis.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I didn't guess correctly! There were too many goodies!
I am inspired by your joie de vivre in general and your watercolor adventures in particular!
That yellow pottery sure is perky Linda-enjoy:@)
Love your yellow McCoy find! I agree that Tiger looks just like his mama. Hope you had a great weekend, Linda.
I guessed wrong. I thought it was going to be the pink and black one (the last picture). It reminded me of a flamingo! LOL
I love your watercolors! I wish I was more artistic!
I guessed it right with the yellow McCoy, but I also thought you might have bought the swan piece too. The black and pink is unique and very Parisian. It is so you! Your watercolors are beautiful...I love the one with the wet on wet method. I thought that photo was Tiger to begin with...they do look just alike! Hope you had a wonderful Monday!
Hugs, Vicky
I thought you would have selected the Pink vase!! It looks McCoy?? Yes!! I would go back to get it!!
Your watercolor painting is great!! You are blending your colors so well!!
Glad you are feeling better!! Stay Well!
Yes, I love vintage planters and buy and use them myself, but that large pink one is wonderful! Go get it, lol!
Glad to see you are still enjoying your painting. It is fun and addicting, but a good hobby to be addicted to. :)
I guessed that you would buy the cattail vase. I laughed when I got to the end of this pose, because I wasn't totally wrong.
The photo of your daughter is priceless! As soon as I saw it, I thought, "That must be Tiger's mom."
i can't believe how much tiger looks like his mama...both so cute.
How funny! I knew it was the yellow vase, but when I saw the pink and black one I wavered on which one you bought! Both are lovely and so is that picture of your daughter. Happy Birthday to her :)
Love those watercolors too!

rue
