My House Guest and A Bit Of News

I have a house guest!
This sweet guy is Mr Toes!
He belongs to my friend Carter and lives in Lithia Springs, GA.  Carter is trying to sell his house and so asked if Mr Toes could come and stay with me for awhile and of course I said yes!
He has been hiding a lot as he adjusts to his new temporary home.  I'll be sharing more photos of him soon!
(Edited to add that my friend Carter kept Charlie for 5 months when I was moving my Mom, so I really do owe him and I love Mr. Toes)

And the Bit of News??
My Mom will be moving into the other side of my duplex by the end of May!
We are so happy and excited!
My previous neighbors bought a house and moved out this weekend.  We had been waiting for them to close on the house before making plans.
It will be wonderful to have her right next door!
Close but we will both have our separate spaces!
I will continue to live in the 2 bdrm on the right and Mom will live in the 3 bdrm on the left.  I know she will enjoy having more room to set up her sewing room and have a guest room also.

So I see a really busy month for sure!

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

First, I love the yellow tile in the kitty's bathroom!

It's really great that your mom is moving next door. You cam keep an eye on her, she still has her privacy, and a visit from the Grands can do double duty.

What exciting news that your mom will be living next door to you...nice for both you and her!
Carter is very fortunate you are able to care for his kitty, not everyone is a cat lover.
Have a great week...rest up for the big move, Linda!

So happy about your mom moving in next door. What a pretty complex you live in, Linda!

You had me fooled about your house guest! I thought for sure it was of the human variety. But how perfect for you to have a little kitty to dote on. That makes me smile.

Mr. Toes is so adorable! I know he is going to enjoy his stay with you. Fab news about your Mom being able to get other duplex! Close will make it easier for you to visit, check on her, take her out, well just everything. Sounds like a "win win" to me. :) Love the beautiful flowers at your entrance.

Mr. Toes is quite a dapper cat... so sharp-looking in his "tuxedo" of black and white fur!!! Congrats on being able to move your Mom close by. I know it's going to be lots of work to get her moved, but it will be worth it.

I love Mr. Toes name! What a sweet looking cat. I lost a very dear cat, Bo, not long after I moved to Colorado. It broke my heart and I have not replaced him as yet. I keep waiting for a special cat to "find me" as that is how Bo came into my life. I know it will happen one day.

I'm sure it will be nice for both you and your Mom to live close to each other. My Mom lived 6 houses away from me when I lived in NY. I could help her as needed but we both had our privacy--a win win!
