Happy Times!

We've been having some good days and some bad days (sickness) but lots of Happy Times here at A La Carte!

Today is my Mom's 85th Birthday!
I am so blessed to have her still with me and in such great health.  Her mind is sharp and we have a great time together.  We decided on Olive Garden for her birthday dinner.

We planned on the whole family going out but sickness hit the Tabb household (strep throat, fevers) so it was just Mom and I.  We had a blast!
I ordered Chicken Marsala and Mom got one of their specials
Sausage Stuffed Giant Rigatoni
(we started eating right away but had leftovers to take home so I took photos of our orders)

Of course since it was Mom's birthday our adorable waiter brought her a dessert!
(she hates having her photo taken but I think she looks great)  When the manager stopped by to see how we were doing and found out it was Mom's birthday and she wanted to share her little dessert with me, well he went and got me one!
It was delicious!  A little chocolate mousse Dolcini!

This week our little girl turned 6 months old!
Rosemary Scout is crawling and chasing Charlie Kitty when she is here now.  She is also...
Pulling herself to her feet!  Oh it won't be long now until she is super mobile!

Tiger is 4 and healing quickly from a strep throat that went through his school.
I love how grown up he looks here!

Things are setteling down a bit so I hope to be posting more often!  Fall is here and the leaves are staring to turn beautiful colors!

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

Happy birthday to your mother - that food looked so good. Is she happy here? Sorry about Tiger being sick. The kids are so cute. I see Rosemary's teeth and I can't believe she is almost standing. Tiger is a doll too!

Happy Birthday to your Mom! Hard to believe Rosemary s trying to stand already.
Yes,when the children start school they bring home all the viruses and other germs floating around. Unfortunately they then share with all the other family members.

Hi Linda ... Glad you and your Mom had a good birthday celebration at Olive Garden. Your Mom looks great and happy with that dessert. Love that place and that is where we went in June to celebrate or 65th wedding anniversary. The babies are growing up so fast and such beauties too. I know you just love the time you can spend with them.

Always good to know they are on the mend. How did that little darling girl get to be 6 months old and crawling? Time does fly by so fast! Tiger looks so handsome in his Sunday clothes. Your pictures are so precious, Linda. What a shame that everyone couldn't join you for your mom's birthday celebration, but hopefully everyone will be back to 100% soon. Happy belated birthday to your mom. My mom just turned 85 also.

Hello, dear Linda! So sorry to hear that strep throat has been running through your family. Too bad they couldn't join you and your mom at the Olive Garden. But looks like you and your mom had a wonderful dinner. Your grandchildren are so beautiful and both are growing so quickly.

Happy Birthday to Mom! She looks great. We love Olive Garden too. A lot. You'd best get ready, because it looks like Rosemary is just itching to be the cutest little terror on two feet! Cannot believe she's already pulling herself up. Where does the time go? Tiger looks very grown up in that pic.
