National Thrift Shop Day!

Who knew?
National Thrift shop day?
I'm all in for celebrating!!

A recent trip to the North Georgia Mountains provided me a chance to shop some new to me thrift shops.  Here are my fun finds!
This bathroom tray (originally from Bed, Bath and Beyond) was $1 as was the cute Avon bunny.   The wonderful pink pottery was marked down at another thrift shop to yes, $1
I've been collecting Golden Books for my friend Sherry and these three were .75...total!
I could not resist this .25 ashtray because it is the same pattern as the little nut cup I found several months ago.  Restaurant ware from Syracuse china.

My favorite finds however where these two Paris prints...
Just .50 each, but the real treasure was written on the back
Purchases in 1992 on a 50th wedding anniversary trip to Europe!
I just love them.  I will frame and hang on my walls.

I think I'll take Mom to the local thrift shops today, I mean it is a holiday right?

Wishing you JOY,

Linda

Linda, I didn't know about National Thrift Store Day until late this afternoon--no thrifting for me today! Great finds, such a pretty pattern on the ashtray and nut bowl and the Paris prints with the inscriptions are a real treasure ;)

Who knew is right! I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow so will certainly hit at least one thrift in belated honor of the day, lol. Love the sweet bunny, and the pink planter. It's so great to find things that are personalized with details, so much meaning to your Paris prints! Cool finds all. :)

I would have fallen for any and ALL of those myself! Great prices on some really sweet pieces :) I'm afraid my trips to thrift stores are limited to hauling my extra stuff IN. A remodeling project has propelled me on a mission to dispose of a lot of items - and I'm too lazy to have a garage sale.

You found some great finds. I love the anniversary note - the Paris one - and the Golden Books - they don't make them anymore do they? Have fun!!!!!!

I picked up a couple of thrifting treasures these past few days too, but I had no idea it was a thrifting holiday! ;-) I have the same Avon bunny...actually, I have the pair. One of the egg cups is chipped now though. I may have even donated them last year - I don't remember. Guess I'll find out next spring when I go to unpack my spring and Easter decor! Love the Paris prints.
