June & Junk!

Thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes.  It was a good day and I have a few more celebrations still to go!
I treated myself to a shopping day and that included some thrift shops (of course) and here are my finds!
Fiesta!  all these bowls for $2
This adorable starfish bowl was .25
.50 for this sweet little bowl made by M. A. Hadley

Moving on to plates!
I haven't been buying many plates lately but these were very happy finds!
This just had to come home with me.  It will go on the wall somewhere and only .55
This set of plates might be my favorite of the day!  Sold at WalMart a few years ago I found a couple of salad plates but didn't have all 4 designs.  These are the bread plate size and will be so pretty on the wall and cost only $1.91
This was an interesting find at Habitat for Humanity.  A small wood box and when I opened it these items were inside.  I think it was someone's meditation box.  I paid .75 for this!
and to end my show and tell
This red Eiffel Tower bottle was .79 and you know I can't resist an Eiffel Tower anything!

I can't end this blog without mentioning the horrible events of this past weekend.  So much violence.  So much hate.
It has to stop!
This is an attack on the LGBTQ community and our freedom in this country.
Again, it has to stop!
We must stand up and be counted on these issues.

I'll end with a couple of photos of the Grands!  They had a great time in So Ga
Tiger catching his first fish!
Four total!  His Mimi fried them up and they had the best catfish ever he said!
Scout is such a happy girl!

Wishing you Peace!

You had me at junk. You sure know how to hunt down the best bargains.
Such a horrible tragedy once again. Thanks for sharing your precious grandchildren; a reminder that there is still so much good and love in the world.

I so agree with you, the tragedy in Orlando is horrible and all of the hate has to stop, hate against the gay, lesbian and transgender community, hate against Muslims, females, those of a different color shape or size and any other hate. Assault weapons should not be allowed in our county, enough said!

Sweet finds all, but love the red plate best. I'm heartsick about the Orlando tragedy. The hate and ignorance must be stopped. Praying for all the families involved. Your grands adorable as always.

I'm glad you were able to get some good birthday shopping in. It's still June, so do some more! LOL.

You were one of the first people I thought about when I heard the Orlando news. I'm still trying to deal with my pain and anger and frustration. There's a blog post to come, if I can ever get my head wrapped around all these feelings.

Hi Linda! Oh, I missed your birthday! I wish you a belated Happy Birthday! You found some wonderful things! You got some great deals too! Those little grands are just adorable and growing up so fast! Aren't we blessed. I agree with you, this is a terrible time for our country and we need someone to stand up and get serious about the enemy!
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Happy belated birthday Linda. Love your finds! I have two red fiesta bowls and that's it. Love the bread plates, and the Eiffel tower is perfect for you! The grands are getting so big!

Great finds Linda and that Eiffel Tower bottle is perfect for you! The grands are as cute as ever and that little Scout looks like she would be such fun! I agree with you on the Orlando tragedy. I don't know why people feel as if they have to act on their hate. I don't understand how someone can have such hate towards people that have done nothing to them other than live a lifestyle they don't agree with. I don't know why we can't all just live in harmony. The Orlando massacre was such a horrifying thing. I love how supportive the community has been though. I was there over the weekend to pick Miranda up from the airport and they are raising money all over to help. The Orlando Eye and other structures are lit up in rainbow colors to support the LBGTQ community. It doesn't take away the pain of what happened but at least folks in that community are feeling the love and support. So very sad. :(

Wow! Those grands are A D O R A B L E ! Tiger is getting so handsome and growing up so quickly. Miss Rosemary is darling and reminds me of a porcelain doll. Such blessings. the Eiffel tower is so pretty in red. Hannah loves Paris and I once found an Eiffel Tower glass container filled with vanilla flavored cocoa power. She still treasures that Eiffel Tower.

Oh the sadness of this world is unreal. All those innocent lives lost by sheer hatred. My heart hurts for all the families dealing with these violent losses.

Have a good week and I am very happy I am here catching u with you.

Take care xo
