I have loved clear glass for a long time
There is just something about it that appeals to me
I was going through some files and came across some random photos I thought I would share with you
All of these pieces were thrifted and are vintage
Boopie glass, Sandwich pattern glass and a refrigerator dish
More Sandwich pattern glass! This bird has a small hole in the top to hang in a window...I just love it!

How did Boopie glass get its name?
OK, I was curious and found this post http://bargainhuntingandtreasureseeking.blogspot.com/2010/02/is-it-boopie-or-candlewick.html
Your glass is so pretty! i love the "boopie" name also:) Seriously, i wish i knew half as much as you when it comes to thrifty treasures. thanks for the pretty pics!!!
XOXOXXO
You have the best collections Linda. That clear glass is pretty. I like clear too, that way we can see pretty candies in such in them.
I never knew that was called sandwich glass. And I even have a few pieces of it. The stuff you learn on blogs!
Nice pieces and photos! Your little bird fits right in with your vintage glassware.
Love clear glass too! I collect depression glass! Have several punch sets!!
I love your mosaic pictures - I like the glass - upper left - with the bubbles! sandie
Lovely glass collection Linda. My oldest sister collects the Sandwich pattern. I tried to buy a set of Forest Green "Boopie" ice tea glasses off eBay. When they arrived they were broken. I got my money back of course but they broke because the seller wrapped them in newspaper only. :( So I figured I would only buy them if I could find them locally. Unfortunately the price for 4 ice tea glasses is through the roof now.
Did you know that Candlewick and Boopie are close in pattern. You should let your bloggy friends know how to tell the difference just in case a seller tries to sell a Boopie glass as a Candlewick and charge more than it's really worth.~Ames
Linda I have a lot of cut glass ware in my collection. I love the look of clear glass as well..
This clear glass really sparkles! I sure do love that bird...what a wonderful piece! Happy Monday! ♥
Lovely collection, and that bird is so sweet!
You have a nice collection of Sandwich glass. That little bird is adorable!
What a pretty mosaic you've made of your clear glass! It really sparkles so nicely.
Such beautiful glassware. My granny had a square glass container like that one that she'd put the homemade butter in.
What memories that sparked!
Have a brightly blessed day sweetie!!! :o)
I'm with you on the glass, I love it too. Your little bird is adorable. I have several sets of the refrigerator dishes in different sizes. I use them all the time. Dianne

Hi...found a new thrift store on Roswell Road in Marietta (near Eastlake shopping center) next door to Aldi that has half off on Wednesdays for seniors!!......big store....and thenew Goodwill is open on Shallowford Road....over by my old house....we went the first day but after 6:00 and it was wiped out.....
Linda, I too, love the clear glass. Your items are beautiful. The sandwich glass is so classic.
While not clear, I have and enjoy my mother's Boopie stemware in the emerald green. I just love it.
