The Thrift Store nearest to me is called
Thursday is Senior Day and 30% off
(I more then qualify for this discount)
I am linking up to two of my favorite parties

The Darling Debbie of Debbiedoos

and the Lovely Laurie

After staying away from the thrifts for days I stopped in
thinking I wouldn't find much as pickings have been
pretty slim lately...I did find a few things
What is that?  A pink Watering Can?
Oh yes to go with my Pink birdhouse!
I love it and $1.49 after my discount
(it has rust on it also!)
A cute little salt and pepper shaker
Bunny and cabbage! Total of both 60 cents
This silver piece will show up for Silver Sunday
I hope to find out something about it
Some kitchen items
Meat tenderizer and ice cream scoop in aluminum
The red Christmas Spatula was new with tag
and will show up in someone's stocking!

I got another skirt hanger to use for Place Mats
(see that post here)
A couple of books and a children's book for a friend
Not bad for a slow Thursday!

I have mentioned a few times that I have done the
World's Longest Yard Sale
Suzy and her friend Beth are both turning 50
and have decided to go this year and have a blast
They are blogging about it and asked me some
questions about my experience
You can read my interview here

Some of you might know Suzy from her other blog
I am going to have some exciting things coming up this next week so be sure to check back!

Fabulous finds Linda! Love the pink watering can, and it does look great with the bird house, and the s/p shakers are just too cute! I thought I'd seen everything having to do with Christmas decor, but I've never seen a Christmas spatula - how neat! Thank you for linking these treasures to Favorite Things Sat. I love your watering can, how fun! Awhile back when I was shopping at the Goodwill, the girl who checked me out (she couldn't have been a day over 19!), asked me if I was a senior citizen! I'm 40 something!! I didn't know weather to laugh or cry! I consoled myself by telling myself she didn't even look up at me when she asked (at least I hope she didn't!).

Hi Linda Sweetie...
Oh my gosh what on earth? You found a beautiful little watering can that is pink. My eyes could not believe what they were seeing. How sweet that is.

I love you ice cream scoop. It looks like a really nice one at that. I am always collecting the darn things. I don't know what I am going to do with them all, but I love them just the same.

I can NOT believe that you have been to the Longest Yard Sale. Oh my gosh. I will be checking that link out for sure. I so envy you. I have always wanted to go. One day perhaps? DH said we would have to rent a U-Haul to bring home all the junk I would see, but what fun it would be. Please think of me while you are out and about, and have some fun for me okay? Oh what a glorious time for you.

Thank you for sharing sweetie. I love this post. Have a beautiful weekend.

Country hugs and much love...Sherry

Just visiting from debbiedoos party! I so want to go to the longest yard sale!! You found some cute items at the thrift store!

Yeah, it's about time to go back to the thrifts--I got so mad at them for their outrageous prices that I stopped going but without me they've probably gone out of business, LOL! I ALWAYS forget about Senior Day but fortunately at Goodwill every day is Senior Day (just like in my actual life). Is that the Yard Sale that starts in Alabama? I keep meaning to go but now people are saying the prices are getting too high and it's so crowded. It sure would be fun to go with some fellow junkers, though! PS--I hate to admit it, but I totally covet your pink watering can . . .

Well first, let me just tell you it was good to finally get your posting back on my blog. Apparently blogger is fixed and my MIA posts' are reappearing for me:)
Just wanted to stop by and see what you've been up to.
I adore that little pink watering can! I happen to collect old watering cans and I just think this is the best find!

What beautiful treasures you turned up! I'm trying to stay out of the thrift stores right now because I don't need anything. But, if I went and saw treasures like the ones you found, like you, I couldn't turn them down either. And that World's Longest Yardsale goes through our Alabama neck of the woods too! Such temptations for the weak!

You are such a thrifty chick girlie!!!
I love your finds and now you'll be the envy of the neighborhood with your PINK watering can :)
I would be SO in heaven at the longest yard sale. I would either die of excitement or run out of money within the first 100 yards! haha!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend Linda~

Linda, cute finds and I would love to go on that longest yard sale trip sometime. My mom and step dad went a few years ago and she did not find anything. I don't think she knew what to look for. I am sure I would find plenty.
