Another visit to my thrift on Sr Discount Day
Didn't find a lot but what I did find I love!
I found this really cute miniature potting bench
just waiting for a little pot of herbs
This really cute planter in a birdhouse shape
This wonderful bird bath with a drangonfly was
purchased with a CSN gift card I recently won
Still looking for the perfect location
An update on the tomato plants
Waiting for them to ripen!

Back to the thrift store
I also found a bag of goodies marked $1.99 and
with 30% off I liked the looks of it
Once I opened it I was very happy!
Anytime I can find old buttons makes me happy

These are very cool
Buttons still on the cards and some snaps
Look at that price for those sewing machine needles
Lot of bias tape and a few spools of thread

I like the old Lily spool the best
This card made me laugh!
A handful of various trims...the tiny yellow rick rack is my fav
This was one of the best junk bags I've bought!
I'm joining in these parties

Looks like you had a successful day. I love the little bird-bath. I'm sure the right place will show up. Lily says to tell you she likes the Lily spools although she would just roll them on the floor and play with them. Thanks for you comment on Rae-Rae. I think I will miss this little furball when she leaves.

I love those bags, my local thrift does the same thing. You can kind of see what is in the bag, but not completely. I got one once because I could see the corner of a crochet doily...I hit the jackpot with about 15 pieces of beautiful vintage linen...I love when young people do the pricing and have no idea! ha

Linda, cute finds especially the bag of goodies. Great bird bath that you purchased from csn. Debbie isn't having her party this week since she is on vacation. Just to let you know.

I think you did great today. $1.99 for all those buttons and misc. was awesome.

I also liked the bird bath - they need that right now.

Well I'm heading to bed.

What a great time you must have had - the trim and the buttons alone would have made it worthwhile!

The Tomatoes are looking great! In no time at all it will be time to start cooking some bacon, and slicing some bread.

Bacon and Tomato on homemade bread just can't be beat!

Around here, im afraid a birdbath would turn into a mosquito pool, so we all have dirty birds...

Looks like something didn't sell in an estate sale, so it was donated. Those are usually the best finds. People overlook them in their hunt for something bigger. What a neat gift basket for a seamstress that would make!

Linda, what do you mean by not finding a lot; looks like you found plenty! I like that birdbath, really cute.
I used to have lots of buttons in jars, have no idea whatever happened to them...guess it doesn't matter as I hate sewing...I missed that gene!
Your tomatoes are coming along great.

Fun finds. Thanks for sharing. ~ Sarah

Sue said...'s two things you need to bring when you come to lunch...if those tomatoes are ripe by then bring one or two...and most importantly bring that "Summons" sheet so I can make a copy of it...we have neighbors who constantly park right infront of our mailbox...well, it's their company that parks there and they leave the cars there for days and drives us crazy and they sometimes park 7 or 8 cars in the culdesac....The Boss would love to be able to put one of those on their car windshields....

You did very well. One never knows when you buy those "bagged selections." Looks like the back room worker was in a generous mood.

I know I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks. Well I am proud to say that the shop is up and running and very successful so far. I am very happy. A belated thanks to you for your encouragement. Honestly, my blog buddies support is what really helped me through the opening. I finally got to posting the photos today. I am now back to keeping up with my regular blogging schedule. I have a give away coming up, more on that later. Take care.
