Good News & Thank Yous!

Charlie had a visit to the Vet today

He tried to hide!

But had his blood drawn anyway! 

GOOD NEWS!

His thyroid function is much better (high normal range).  I will continue with the 1/4 pill twice a day.  He will get checked again in 3 months unless he isn't doing well.  So far he is eating, sleeping (in the cat cave) and being Charlie!!  I'm so thankful he is doing better and hope I can relax a little bit!

I Win, You Win!

I know everyone loves' to win a giveaway! 

I was so lucky to recently win a great giveaway from Kathe with an E.  A coupon for a free Mrs. Smiths Signature Deep Dish pie and (get this) 

a $50 Williams-Sonoma gift card!  Yippee!

I won all this before Christmas but you know how crazy my life has been.  I kept looking at the plaid plates but they were sooooo expensive I just couldn't bring myself to buy just two of them for my $50.  After Christmas I was hoping they would be on sale...but they are gone from the website.

So shopping I went and this is what I bought...it arrived the other day!

Look at this amazing grill pan!  It was on sale and I was so excited to get this!  I will be doing some chicken and maybe even a steak in this pan! 

I also found this...

It is this cool pancake pen....you fill it with batter (can even be mixed in it) and you can then do initials, or fill in those great cookie cutters or pancake molds with it.  I will take it on my next trip to visit Tiger!  I think it will be lots of fun!

My life has been a bit stressful lately and I can tell I've been more absent from my blog.  I'm feeling a lot better and some of that is because of you my blog friends! Your kind words and encouragement mean so much!

What's Up Wednesday

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY

It is hard to believe that August is half over already!  Summer will soon be ending and before it gets away from me

I have some catching up to do!

Several weeks ago I tried to make a Pyrex trade with the "Queen" of Pyrex Valerie of Vonlipi's Favorites.  She had these beautiful Delphite 'Bluebelle' bowls and I fell in love with them.  I did not have any Pyrex she is looking for but she traded with me anyway for a 'future' piece I'm sure I will find for her! 

I love these bowls and she included this little blue rabbit also!  Thank you my friend!  I will find you a special piece of Pyrex!

Tracy at Ms. Bake It had a give away for her 2nd Blogversary!  I was incredibly lucky to win an original painting by Jane McMullen who blogs at Artfully Graced
