Whimsiclay Cats by Amy Lacombe
Colorful and playful ceramic WhimsiClay cats have been artist Amy Lacombe's medium since 1994. Her hand-made fashion jewelry sold through major department stores and catalogs in the 1980's and '90's until she turned to cats. Inspired by her family and friends, Amy developed fanciful felines with her signature whiskers - bendable wires with decorative ceramic tips. These hand painted cats arrived in gift stores in 2001 and have clawed their way up the popularity charts ever since.
In 2001 a co-worker gave me a Whimsiclay Cat
It was love at first sight!
They all have a name but I've lost his tag :(
Still I love Mr Heart Eyes and he is dated 2001
This one is called Sweet Sue and is dated 2004
Isn't she cute!
This guy is also dated 2001
I call him Vegie
But WAIT I have another W word
What could be more Whimsical then a Flamingo
Now many of my readers know I have a collection of
Flamingos which I blogged about Here
For my Birthday I received a huge box in the mail
FULL of FUN and FLAMINGOS!
I set this table outside on the deck
I started with these striped place mats from the box of goodies
Used the cute matching plates
Matching tea glasses and my blue handled silverware
I also have bowls and margarita glasses on
a Flamingo tray
The Flamingo coasters were a birthday gift from another friend
I had the pink napkins but the fish napkin rings came from the amazing box! Oh and the cute little Flamingos on each plate
from the box! Also the candle holders & tea lights..from the box!
I couldn't resist using my 'yard' flamingo as a centerpiece
He is wondering what the heck is going on?
I only have one of these, really only one!!
When it gets dark beside the candles we can
plug in the Flamingo & Palm Tree Lights!
I hope you enjoyed this table full of Whimsy!
I am also joining Susan for Tablescape Thursday
I wanted to show that
you can use plastic and silly to make a really fun table!
