IT'S SLIM PICKINS OUT THERE

I don't know about you but it was pretty slim pickins out there this week....now I didn't go to any yards sales this week, too hot and I just wasn't up to it but I do have a few finds left from last weeks yard sales and a thrift shop find yesterday.
A couple of pieces of pressed glass
I like the design and may have ideas for this piece
A cute little dish, looks like it's ready for a banana split!
Both of these were $1
I got these separately but they look good together
3 apple shaped turquoise dishes (probably from a snack set)
and 2 juice and 2 large glasses with a cute floral design
I also got each set for $1
A green planter for my collection
Not one of the best but for 99 cents I like it
I got four of these pretty blue and white placemats
at Goodwill for $1.60
Not bad for Ralph Lauren!

I'm joining in the fun ParTay over at

Be sure to go by and check out the other fun posts!

Always,
Linda

Ralph Lauren, lucky you! Those apple dishes are very cute! I am taking some time off from my thrifting. Too much stuff, no where to put it! LOL!

Wow, maybe this week wasn't good but last week was great! I love those glasses and the apple shape dish!! What a beautiful color and how good would they look on a spring table????

Like you said, it is too hot for yard sales...I went to the local thrift store but didn't find much of anything, a couple small vases and a couple 40's-50's gravy boats that I will use for salad dressings...total cost of a dollar.

Hi Linda,
I went to several yard sales this morning and found nothing!! What a waste of gas.
I'd say you did alright from the looks of things. I love those pretty drink glasses and all your other pieces.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments about my workspace. You are so nice.

Linda,
Hubby and I went looking for bottles for the hummingbird feeders and i wandered into places i would not normally go, a stinky basement!!! I felt like I was on American Pickers! We found some really neat bottles and I was sooooo good because I saw a DARLING milkglass snack set!!! and I do mean DARLING...it had the cutest little cups and the little plates were calling my name, but I said NO! I was on the search for bottles! Oh well, maybe I will go back tomorrow and get them!

Thanks for commenting on Sweetie. Your Charlie is a lovely cat! I love your pressed glass acquisitions----but I'm getting rid of stuff, not acquiring. I should use the stuff I have.

If these are slim pickings, I hate to see what a good day is! I love the green glasses...maybe I should go over to our Goodwill more often!

great finds! that larger piece of glass could be a great base for a cake plate. just glue a nice plate or a glass platter to the small end using glass glue! i am trying to steer clear of thrift shops for a while.

I came over to get my mind off Carly and found your delicious blog. I love your treasures and admire your willingness to go after them. Makes me feel a little lazy and spoiled, but, hey, if the bra fits, wear it!

Thanks for popping over to The Red Sweater.

I love the things you found, they reminded me that I did buy a couple of things at Goodwill but put the bag in my sewing room and forgot all about them. It wasn't too hot for garage sales here, but by Thursday and Friday I had spent all my cash and had to drive by without stopping. Maybe next week. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the slim pickins. I only found two urns. Love the placemats - what a deal.

Wow, if this is slim pickins, I can't imagine a good week!

Love the vase. I've never seen that shape before.

I also love the apple dishes, the glaze is wonderful.

Your glasses are made to go with Ever Yours Bouttoniere by Taylor Smith and Taylor. I fear that a dedicated collector may stalk you through the internet in order to get to your house, tie you up and steal them. People are that crazy for them. Be careful!

I agree, it's too hot for yard sales right now! I'm glad you were able to stay home and enjoy the treasures you already have. They're beautiful! Thank you for dropping by my Pink Saturday post and leaving the sweet comment. I've been out of touch (away from my computer) due to a long camping trip, so I'm just now catching up with my friends. It's so good to be home. Hope you have a lovely week!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! How sweet are you!

I have those apple dishes too - three, exactly! Originally I thought I'd use them for a tasty dessert, but now I keep our car keys in them! :)
