Hi Friends!

I wanted to remind everyone to check out the 3rd Giveaway HERE
for these wonderful April Cornell Linens!

Now in "case you were wondering" about me giving gifts instead of receiving gifts in this countdown to the BIG 6-O
Rest assured my friends that I am celebrating the count down with gifts for myself also!

This is my first 'early present' !

Isn't she cute!!
A Canon SD1300 IS
Digital ELPH
I don't want anyone to think I don't love my
Canon EOS 10D but truth is she is a large
girl and a bit heavy!  True she takes magnificent photos but sometimes she is hard to take with me!!
Example lasts week soccer game! I was glad I took her but well
a nice little digital would have been easier!

I had a small digital camera but it died last January and I have not replaced it until now!
 Little, cute and Pink!
I love Canon's!  Got me to thinking (oh no there she goes again)
most of my camera's have been Canon's...why?
I like them and trust them and have had great luck with their quality and ease of use.  So I thought I would share a little about Canon!

Brief History of Canon Cameras

 Demi EE17, 1965 Canon F1,
 1971 Canon
AE-1, 1976 Canon
EOS-1, 1989 Canon Elph
Jr., 1997

1933. Goro Yoshida and his brother-in-law, Sabura Uchida, founded the Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory. The goal: to make cameras to compete with the most advanced German models of the day.
1934. Japan's first domestically-made 35mm focal-plane shutter camera, the "Kwanon' -- named after the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy.

Whew!  I didn't know all that!!  Interesting!
Between Mr. ALC and myself we have several older models of Canon's! (Mr ALC is a big collector of cameras and old electronics!)

So not a bad 'First' present!
Oh and of course you want to see a photo taken with it
Here is Charlie 'helping' again just a few minutes ago
Not bad!

I'm linking up to Tuesday Trivia Tie-In with my good friend Troy over at Refuse to Recede
Head on over and check out more fun Trivia!

What a great camera! I just bought a new "point and shoot" too. I have a Pentax DSLR, but like you, found it too bulky to carry around with me all the time. So, I researched and researched and finally bought a Nikon Coolpix S3000. Mine is plum-colored instead of the pretty pink that yours is, but I plan to make myself a pink case to put it in.

Thank you for coming by and leaving the sweet comment on my blog this morning.

As always Linda, thank you so much for joininig in Tuesday Trivia Tie-in. I look forward to your posts each week. They always highlight something new and interesting for me.

How very observant of you to notice my watering system in my herb barrels. . Each of my barrels has a milk jug buried in the center. There are small holes in sides of the jug, near the bottom. I water the barrels by filling the jug with water, it takes about a week to run out. This is great for when we are going to be away from home. I just make sure and fill them up before we go.
