WHITE AND RED ON THE WLYS 2010

Welcome to my post showing my
World's Longest Yard Sale 2010
White and Red finds!!
I am joining these two fun parties!
White Wednesday over at FADED CHARM
and
Rednesday Day at It's A Very Cherry World

I love this milk glass dish only 25 cents
This milk glass dish was 50 cents, dirt was free
**just keepin it real, lots of dirty items at these yard sales and I'm showing you my treasures in their found condition**
 White planter $1
4 Fire King bowls, milk glass plate and a Little Hostess white cup
All this was only $4
This is a one handle sugar bowl
This matches some dishes I found at a thrift last month
Again the price $1
A white Pyrex divided dish, no lid $2
Teacup, Free!
Two milk glass hens! I kept seeing these for $18 and they were only going down to around $15 so I didn't buy, I found the little one first for $7 and then really scored on the large one for $8
I didn't find many red items
The two red plates and the Blue Ridge plate were all 25 cents each.  The Blue Ridge plate has some really large chips but for a quarter I thought why not!
This charming little sugar bowl caught my eye
I talked the lady down to $1 (My favorite price point on this trip)
Love this lid!
I also got this great rusty red and white enamel pan $3 from the same lady with the sugar bowl.

I hope you enjoyed another tour of my WLYS finds
More to come!!

Always,
Linda

WLYS 2010 ~ FIRST & LAST PURCHASE!

Dear Friends,
I had a lot of fun on this years adventure.  I found lots of goodies and I'm happy with my purchases but many things on my list were not found or found but not bought because of high prices!  That said here we go.....
Some terrible storms went through this area in Tenn right before we got there.  Lots of dealers had closed up.  We found a few open and trying to dry out.  Many lost merchandise.  This was in
Crossville, TN.  We were headed to Kentucky where we spent Thursday night but we had to stop and shop!
Mr ALC and I both made our first purchase in Crossville
I bought this
A very sweet silver toddler spoon for $1
Mr ALC bought two old fans
I really liked the style of this one
From this same vendor he bought this glass canister with the ground glass lid, he has several but not one this size
We then finished our drive to KY and on Friday morning started heading south on 127!
WE shopped and shopped and dropped Friday night in Trenton, GA.  On Saturday we headed back over to 127 and drove the rest of the way to Gadsden, AL and then home!
I know it doesn't look like much, but I mostly bought small items this trip.  No big items caught my eye this year.

All these boxes and bags yielded this
And this
So I think I did pretty well
My last purchase was in Gadsen, AL
I fell in love with this pink pottery planter
It is made by Camark Pottery of Arkansas
this is what I learned about this company
The Camark Pottery Company was established in Camden, Arkansas in 1926, and remained in production until 1983. Camark Pottery was produced in a variety of colors and in hundreds of designs and shapes, from tiny ashtrays to large urns. The range of Camark items includes: vases, decorative bowls, console sets, flower pots, teapots, cups and saucers, salt and pepper shakers and decorative wall plaques. Many pieces were handpainted by talented artists.
So here is a photo of my first and last purchase and Kirbee helped all the way. She stayed with me every step (and there were many steps I'm here to tell ya) and
never let me miss a single good buy!
I will be posting more later as I sort and photograph my finds.

Becky & Jenn I did find you some goodies and I will be
getting them ready to send you!!

ROOSTERS ON THE TABLE!

I am going to join in the 2nd Annual Show Us Your Roosters hosted by the the lovely Barb at BELLA VISTA

Sorry for the dark photos, I was so busy trying to get all my photos taken and posts done before leaving for the World's Longest Yard Sale tomorrow.
I started with a tan placemat, added brown handled silverware and a wine colored napkin.  A Harlequin cup and saucer for tea.
Vintage Rooster plates are layered on top of dark green dinner plate
These Poppytrail dishes by Metlox were found at a thrift shop for 80 cents each
Vintage Rooster salt & pepper shakers continue the green, wine and yellow color
I found two of these Roosters at a yard sale for 50 cents each they have been broken and glued together but still hold a lot of charm
Green water glasses and a Burgundy teapot complete the setting

Some other Roosters in my kitchen/breakfast nook
A couple of Roosters on a bookcase
Another Vintage Rooster plate on the wall
On another wall is a Rooster Wall Sconce
I just need to find the perfect candles
This set of pictures is on the wall by the back door
I love this with it's coffee and Rooster theme
This was a birthday gift from my friend Sandie at
CHATTY CRONE
I love how it looks in my kitchen

Another Rooster tablescape
This tablescape uses black, white, red and yellow
The charge plate is red, a white dinner plate, black salad plate and a white bowl.  Silverware is red handled set found at a thrift.
This tablescape was inspired by these great napkins
I bought these with a CSN gift card I won
Isn't this the cutest pattern!
I only have one rooster napkin ring but maybe I can find another one
This cute plate continues the black, white & red theme
This Rooster holds a tea light and is just so cute
I found this at a yard sale!
Crazy Vintage Salt & Pepper shakers
Just a quick fun table to show some more of my Roosters~

This metal Rooster will hold a plant on the screened porch
and my last Rooster to share
I won a set of two of these gorgeous Rooster chargers from my wonderful friend Diann at THE THRIFTY GROOVE
This is the tablescape I did back in April
