 Can you believe it is almost the middle of July?  Time is flying by.  Soon it will be time for my annual adventure called
'Worlds Longest Yard Sale'
aka WLYS
For those of you not familiar with this
check out the website Here
Last year I had a great time and found lots of goodies...as I begin to prepare for this years WLYS Aug 4-7 I am going to share a few of last years finds
I didn't find many red items
The two red plates and the Blue Ridge plate were all 25 cents each.  The Blue Ridge plate has some really large chips but for a quarter I thought why not!
This charming little sugar bowl caught my eye
I talked the lady down to $1 (My favorite price point on this trip)
Love this lid!
I also got this great rusty red and white enamel pan $3 from the same lady with the sugar bowl.

 Sharing my reds and joining with
It's A Very Cherry World for

 Do you remember last years giveaway in connection with
WLYS??? (hint hint)

We have a long yard sale here in Georgia that goes about 200 miles down US 341 from just south of Macon all the way to the coast. I've never shopped it, but you are rubbing off on me! I'm going to try to work it this year!

I love your finds, especially the sugar bowl.

Yes I sure do remember your giveaway from last year. Shall I submit my list now?! Love those finds, and I can't wait 'til you go again, because it seems like such a great time, and I get a kick out of seeing other people's finds as much as my own!

OOO- I have a wild dream list too!
I was checking in with Kim Myles blog and she was mentioning how excited she is to do another show this year.

I keep dreaming of doing our version along the Missippi River. (only 100 miles)

I have always wanted to go to that longest garage sale, but have never made it. I would still enjoy it, but might be too old to do all that now.

You and I talked about the WLYS last year and I don't think I'll get to go this year. Waiting on my daughter to go back to work so I can fill in and watch the baby. I so wanted to go to the WLYS. I guess I'll have to watch it on TV. Have fun!~Ames

Do I see a red raspberry peeking over the top of that enamel pan? Oh, I doubt it. It's probably something much more prosaic--like a piece of chicken! :-)

Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
Not yellow or purple or green;
But burgundy, chestnut, carmine or rose—
These are the colors with sheen!

Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
Not saffron or opal or blue;
But fuchsia, magenta, ruby or blush—
Something of sanguinous hue!

Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
Not indigo, azure or grey;
But scarlet, vermilion, dahlia or pink—
Colors like these make my day!

Boy, do I like the enamel pan! There is so much red in my house. You'd have a field day on Rednesday!

Geez, I can't believe it almost THAT time already! This summer is already flying by! Are you gearing up? Are you building up your strength and "snatch and run" skills? LOL

I wish I could spend a few days doing the WLYS too! How much fun that would be. I'm so glad you posted about Redesday--going to join in too--loving your sugar bowl. That enamel pan is awesome; wouldn't that be cute holding Granny-Smith apples in the kitchen? Have a great week, Linda. Hugs, Patty

I DO remember your sale adventure last year! You came very close to my little town. I hope the weather cools off for you before you set out. Don't forget to pack lots of water and an umbrella for your own little portable shade. :)

Hope you have a successful and fun trip.
