Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet a friendly face I've been seeing for years on her blog sidebar!  Yes I got to meet a blogging friend for lunch.

Becky Povich is visiting her sister here in the Atlanta area and Sandie (Chatty Crone) and I drove over to meet her for lunch.  We choose Ted's Montana Grill since Becky had never been to one.
Owned by Ted Turner they serve Bison Burgers and lots of other great food!  None of use choose Bison but we all had a great lunch.  No photos of the food as we were starving and just dug in!
Our friendly server took our photo
(3 times with 3 cameras because there were 3 bloggers there of course)
left to right Becky, Linda (me) and Sandie....we had a great time and talked for a couple of hours.  Becky who is a writer was meeting some other blogging friends at 2pm....popular lady!
It was great to meet Becky!  Which reminds me....guess who won last years WORLDS LONGEST YARD SALE giveaway??  Yep....Becky!
These are the goodies I shopped for last year for her....and my friends it is once again time for the WLYS!  Oh yes!  I am gearing up for another couple of marathon days of shopping.  The heat has me a little concerned but I will have my hat, fan and water in hand so never fear!  I had so much fun last year shopping for one of my followers that we are going to do it again!

Here's how to enter!

You must be a follower to enter!
l. Mandatory~Leave a comment telling me 3 things you would love for me to find for you on the WLYS!
For additional entries (leave a separate comment)
2. Visit last years WLYS Favorites post and tell me which of my top five was your favorite!

3.  Blog or post this on your sidebar and come back and leave a comment letting me know.

That's it!  I will use random.org to choose the winner on
Sunday July 24th
That will give me time to email you and get some ideas of what you really want me to shop for!

I am excited as always for the Yard Sale and also shopping for you!

i've eaten at ted's a few times and the burgers were really good!

i am a devoted follower who yearns for vintage or vintage looking halloween decor, anything with a faux bois (fake wood) pattern, and theatre-ish/dinery things that would go in my basement.

i hope it won't be too hot for you!

Well, of COURSE I am a follower. I think you were one of the people that inroduced me to blog posts about the longest yard sale. You have introduced me to many of my now favorite things online.
I am so glad I am not the only person to mention Vintage Halloween, but I'll be very general, black cats, crystal balls, pumpkin people, tarot cards or ouija board.
Of course I would always be on the lookout for Saint Bernard or Newfoundland dog items. (Even images.)
Vintage paper ephemera.

Nothing pink.

dogsmom said...

OK - Old Keys. I am sure you'd be able to find old keys on the yard sale trail. (even if I don't win and you find keys at a bargain price I would be willing to buy them!)
My favorite item from last year is the baby shoes.

You have me all excited about miles and miles of treasure hunting.

Hi Linda! How sweet of you to post about our get-together! I'm sorry it's taken me this long to stop by, and I finally posted about it tonight, too! I'll never get "caught up" with my blog reading...Guess I'll just have to start tomorrow and begin anew! :)
AND how I loved winning the Yard Sale prizes last year! Gosh, can't believe it's been that long ago already! It was a fun surprise to see my items pictured again, too!
PS I'm glad your photo of the 3 of us turned out better than mine, but at least I got one!
