What a fun set Linda! I had to chuckle, I stopped by my fav antique/junk shop two days ago. It was loaded with Pyrex, priced a little high too! Had to be from that Country Living article:@)
Hi Linda...
Oooh...I love, love, LOVE this beautiful white milk glass pitcher and glasses! Absolutely gorgeous! It certainly sets a beautiful table! Sooo happy for you, my friend...that you finally found what you had been looking for...and at such a great price!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
Nice set, Linda! Great deal, I paid almost that much for a milkglass pitcher alone.
It is pretty!
I saved a picture from an estate sale site a while back of someone's white milk glass collection being sold - need to find it and share.
Enjoy your evening.
That is a pretty set! My mom gave me a sugar & cream like that. I had no idea the maker or even pattern name but now, thanks to you, I do.
This is just my style, honey, I've beginning to think we have VERY similar tastes!
I see you have Tracy's Giveaway button posted and I saw that you signed up. I'm sending out "winning" vibes to you and keeping my fingers crossed for all my dear, sweet blogging friends.
Hugs
What a find! My mom loved milk glass but none of us liked it so when she was gone it was released into the wild at a garage sale. Would like to think it went to someone who cherishes it, too.
SUPER SCORE! That's what you did, Linda. That is a truly lovely set. Congratulations and thanks for sharing! Susan
Aye Aye Aye!!!! You are the luckiest Lady!!
I just love it when we finally "find" our earthly delights!
Warmly,
deb
So pretty ....
Just beautiful! Great buy!
Beautiful, Linda! Don't you love it when you finally find something you've been looking for? Thanks for your nice comment on my romantic finds post!
What a beautiful set and a great deal!
Good job girl..
who hoo! You go girl! That's a deal!
That is a cute set and a good price too. Is it glass like milk glass? Very nice! I found some clear Fostoria glasses that are older with lots of hard water build up on them at a church sale last weekend. Do you know what to use to remove that safely? Pretty daisies too!
What a pretty set! Great price, too! Thanks for sharing.
No doubt - you make the best finds! I love that creamy finish on the jug and glasses.
That is one great score!!! Congrats!!! Milk glass has such a clean look and I love this pattern!!!
Oh Linda! I LOVE this set! I have had my eye on milk glass set that isat a little store up by our campground. I think the next time I go up there I am going to see if the owner would be willng to do a little haggling! this set is gorgeous!
It was waiting for you. How nice of them to make a display so you did not miss it.
I updated my post. I found another ad: 70 y/o Hoarder sale, mentioning my favorite things.
I am in thrifters torment!
What an awesome deal you got and I have to say they are beautiful!
Hi Linda, I have seen these sets before but they were a lot more than $20.00. You got a great deal and a beautiful pitcher and glass set.
Hugs,
Sherry
Love those white dishes Linda!!! And the daisies are beautiful!
Oh shoot--I just got rid of a bunch of this pattern. It's sort of a poor man's Westmoreland Paneled Grape but just as nice and not nearly as expensive, although Paneled Grape prices have come waaaay down. Except of course at the thrift stores. You got a good deal!
Now, THAT is loverly! And what a buy!!!
Hi Linda,
You found a beautiful set! Isn't it fun to find something you've been looking for when your out thrifting!
How's that grandbaby doing??
Have a great weekend.
Jane
These are just beautiful Linda! And you paid a great price for them too!
I agree with Happier Than A Pig in Mud when she said the Pyrex was priced a little too hig possibly because of The Country Living Article. I've noticed the same thing!~Ames
I just started collecting milk glasses.I love them with the kids!
very nice set!
I really love this pattern. So glad you found it.
Linda I want to go shopping with you! You found a beautiful bargain! God Bless You! You always make me smile over here! Beutiful pattern! Anne
I love the grapes.
My mom had the same exact set! When I was little she would make cherry red kool-aid and let me drink it in those glasses. It was a special time. Love your post and what a pretty blog.
