RED & WHITE SNOWFLAKES

Here is a January Tablescape featuring snowflakes!
I used items I already had for this tablescape
These place mats and matching napkins were an after Christmas buy from WalMart several years ago
I used a white plate topped with a plain red plate
I added milk glass goblets and my red handled flatware.  I added a Pyrex white divided serving dish for vegies.
Table set for two
The centerpiece includes the only new items
The snowflake candles bought on clearance from Cracker Barrel with this tablescape in mind
I have used these acrylic snowflakes many times this year

The cake plate with a plain red candle and these snowflakes give a nice sparkle to the table

BITS AND PIECES

I feel like I lost a week....this ice and snow have kept me inside and for some reason not doing much at all.  Still how did it get to be the 15th of January??

I need to give some thank you's to blogger friends!

When a blogging friend knows you love something crazy like Flamingo's and they take the time to send you a surprise box full of goodies...well I can't believe its taken me this long to say thank you and share these with all of you!  My sweet and wonderful friend Marigene did just that back a couple of months ago.
Just look at these adorable glasses!  I love them and I can't wait to use them on a special tablescape!
This little candle holder was also included
And a vintage saucer from a restaurant!
I love it!

Marigene has had a really rough time lately.  Her nephew lost his life a few months ago to an undetected heart defect and just last week her sweet 90 year old Mother passed away.  I am sending her much love and prayers as I type this!

I also won a giveaway from Missouri Michael who's blog Cul-de-sac Shack is so much fun!
I love this glass owl!  And ladies get this....I was comment #1 and yes I won in a random drawing!  See it can happen!
Thanks Michael!

Last week on JFF I showed a gravy boat I found at the thrift!  My new friend Sherry sent me a matching plate she found after seeing my post!
I will use this plate with the gravy boat in a future tablescape!  Sherry is a fairly new blogger so I hope you will visit her at

JUNKIN FINDS FRIDAY #11

It is still cold and icy here in Georgia!  We are seeing a little thawing so hopefully by the weekend we can get out again!  Of course I am needing a thrift fix...but I have a few things to share from a trip taken last week before the snow and ice!

I love purses!  I am always on the lookout for good one's in the thrift shop.  Last week I found this Nine West bag in like new condition for $6
I love it!!
The black and gray is perfect for an everyday bag

I found this black wine glass at the thrift.  It was a 'one' and I love to find at least two, but next time I see just one I will already have one...did you follow that??
So for $1 this came home hoping I will find a match one of these days.

Another 'one' and only 69 cents.  This matches wine glasses I have so I have great hopes of finding more of these sherbet glasses in the future.

This cute little teapot was at the same thrift as the purse above.  This was $3 and I had to buy it.
This is Pfaltzgraff and a very popular pattern called Yorktowne.

So what do you have to share with us this week?
Remember it doesn't have to be just thrift/yard sales, it can be a fabulous bargain from anywhere!

Please link up your post, not your blog and include a link in your post back to this one.

RED ON A COLD DAY AND A WINNER!

It is still cold and icy here in Georgia!  I'm glad to see some sunshine today, but with temps falling into the teens tonight we will have icy roads again tomorrow.

I'm redoing the cubbies, taking down the Christmas and so far I've really been enjoying the red cardinals.  Here they are along with a few other reds!

These cute S&P's are from Cracker Barrel
I found them at a thrift shop for $1
This cute container with cardinals on it had yummy home made candy in it from my friend Sue
I enjoy using cardinals in my decorating
They add that pop of color

This is a cute ornament from Target but she looks cute in the cubbies on this cold day
Another red glass bird

I love this red glass vase
Sara & Blake gave it to me for Christmas
Pretty in the window!

I'm joining Sue at
