ADDING TO SOME OF MY COLLECTIONS!

It is fun to find something new to add to an existing collection.  In the last couple of weeks I have been so lucky to find some treasures to add to my favorite things!

I love milk glass and egg coddlers
I am so in love with this little hobnail pitcher
It was only $1 at a little thrift I stop at once in awhile
This egg coddler is the larger size
A very cute bird design
I have a small collection of Restaurant Ware
This plate and two cups were all 49 cents each
I only found one red plate and one green plate
and no red cups.  These were made by Homer Laughlin

PINK PIGGIES FOR BARNYARD BASH!

Hi all!!  I am joining in the new bloggie party BARNYARD BASH
over at Happier Than A Pig In Mud!

We have all be invited to share our farmyard animals.  This came from the fun Rooster party awhile back.  Well not wanting to show all my Roosters again (some of my other treasures might get jealous) I thought I would share my Pink Piggies!

They say three or more is a collection...hmmmm I count 4!
This guy is a spoon rest and just too cute
found at a thrift shop

This little piggie is from IOWA!  He is a keychain I got on a trip there to visit family!

This chippie piggie came from a thrift shop for pennies

See his snout?  He is a salt shaker and an orphan so of course he came home with me!

This is Priscilla Pig!  She is the Princess of her domain
and rules the other piggies with much love!

That's it for my Barnyard Bash contribution!

Hope you go over and check out the other fun
barnyard animals!

Always,
Linda

VIOLETS & ORCHIDS

Today is our last summer school assignment for Miss Jenny
We have been studying the colors of the Rainbow and this weeks color is Violet

I'm sharing photos I've taken of my favorite flowers with shades of violet
These beautiful violets bloomed in my yard this Spring
I like them peeking up from the ladder
The next photos are from a shoot at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Orchid House in 2008

This is one of my favorite photos
