PINK SATURDAY

I am joining Beverly for her always fun Saturday party where we share all our Pinks!

I recently shared with you a swap I made and sent to Becki.  I received hers this week and it make me so happy!
Isn't this cute!!!  It was a swap based the initial of our first name
I told Becki that pink was one of my favorite colors.  The bird house and flowers just make this perfect and it's in my bedroom and I love it!
She also sent me this cute memo pad and a wonderful hand made hook
Thanks Becki!

Now look what I found in the thrift store...
Another Flamingo!  Oh my heart jumped when I saw this cutie.  He is only 3" tall, cost 25 cents and...
Is an orphan salt shaker!

I also picked up these great storage boxes at Michael's on sale this week
They are so handy for hiding stuff, I mean storing stuff in! $2 each.

Pink & Turquoise fish glasses
Are perfect for a summer table
I used them in a tablescape last year.  You can see that post HERE

I have just listed 4 of these glasses in my ETSY shop!

Thanks for looking at my Pinks and please stop by Beverly's

Hugs,
Linda

TREASURY ON ETSY

I had an email that I had been 'featured' in a Treasury!  What is this I asked?  I took a look and wow how fun.  Someone puts together several items from different Etsy shops in a 'Theme'.  It might be color or season or decade.  So far I have been included in three!  I am so happy as it helps promote my little struggling Etsy shop.  I am sharing two of the Treasuries since one of my items is no longer for sale.

I hope to be listing some new items in the
Etsy shop soon!

MISS JENNY'S RAINBOW - ORANGE

I must say that Orange is not my favorite color!  I don't use a lot of it except during Halloween and in Fall decorations but decided not to dig out that box from the basement
This week on our Rainbow Summer School Session our color is Orange and I'm showing you some items I have around the house
I found this cute OJ pitcher in the thrift
This orange and green piggy bank was from a yard sale
This orange planter was also a thrift shop find
A really cute OJ mug
From Florida
Orange Tupperware glasses
Orange Raffia Ware Bowls
(they look yellow here but they are a pale orange)
These great Orange & Green Retro Mugs

That's my entry for the color Orange!
Some of these items are listed in my Etsy store!

Always,
Linda

ANTIQGIRL!

FINALLY

I'VE LISTED SOMETHING IN MY ETSY SHOP

I have been thinking about opening an ETSY shop for months.  I have had encouragement from my daughters, Mr. ALC and many friends.  I've sought advice from other Etsy folk who have been very generous with their advice and most helpful.
Before going to Texas I had the bones of the business ready
Just waiting for me to list some items
I was waiting until I returned from my long visit to my Mom.
Then a few weeks rocked on and finally a very good friend said when are you going to do it!  So I made a promise and
Friday I listed 4 items!!
It's a start!

I will be adding items every day (I hope)
Lots of photos to take and items to describe and postage rates to figure out.
I am happier then I imagined I would be!
It is called

Giving New Life to Old Treasures
This hand embroidered scarf I found was the inspiration for my Etsy banner....to me it just says...vintage

This is big for me since I lost my job last August and I'm hoping my love of junk, I mean 'vintage' will turn into an income
I promise not to turn my blog into an advertisement for what I'm listing in my Etsy shop.   I may do one post a week about it since it will be important to me, but it is not the focus of my blog nor do I want it to be.

So it's a new Adventure and a new Venture all at the same time!

Thanks to you all!
Linda
