Hot Sunday In The ATL

We are in the middle of a heat wave!
I mean Hot, Hot, Hot-lanta!
Not much to do but sit under a fan and take it easy.  I've been watching some of the Olympic Trials in
Gymnastics, Swimming and Track & Field
I'm really looking forward to the Olympics this year!

I did start putting Red, White & Blue in the cubbies.  This Statue of Liberty (found in a thrift shop) is one of my newest additions.   I saw this great monument back in the 1970's in my one and only trip to NYC!
Maybe I'll get there again one day!
I love this new Texas mug!
Being my birth state I add Texas items to the R,W & B cubbies!

Souvenirs from my trip to Canada and a wish for a wonderful Canada Day for all my friends up there!

I just finished celebrating my Birthday
(it takes the whole month of June you know)
Yesterday I received a present from a lovely Canadian blogging friend!
Two Pink Gooseberry Cinderella Mixing Bowls!!
I am so thrilled!  France at Passion Of Milkglass Collecting found these gorgeous bowls and said she would send them to me for my Birthday!
What an amazing and wonderful friend!
France I love them and you!!
I had one Pink Gooseberry and now with the two she has sent me I almost have the complete set!

I hope you are staying cool and enjoying this first Sunday in July!

Love your patriotic finds, Linda! It is miserably hot, isn't it? I will have to venture out late this afternoon to water my poor flowers. Ugh! Hope your weekend is wonderful otherwise!...hugs...Debbie

So you are back home? Hope mom is doing better. Can you stand the heat?

I am soo glad you received them in one piece! It is scary to mail Pyrex and other glass in the mail. What would be the last piece you need to complete the set?

Enjoy the heat, it goes by too fast! Happy Birthday again!

Hi Linda...

Did I miss our birthday?????? I can't for the life of me remember if I wished you happy birthday or not. Well, consider it done. I'm glad you celebrated the whole month. I do the same thing! And now? Celebrate the "new" year of life! Cool finds. Hot here in Massachusetts, too, but not too bad yet. Susan

Stay inside where it's cool! Yesterday was aweful in my neck of the woods. A lot of times on Sunday after church we put tables outside and eat (my whole little crews eats with me for Sunday dinner) but yesterday we ate inside!!! One of my SIL said, PLEASE tell me Miss Cindy that you are not making us eat outside! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

We had a lovely Canada Day, it was hot and sunny, just perfect for picnics.

That corning ware is lovely, funny how we all relish what we used to think was so old fashioned.
