Do you ever have one of those days when you just want Dinner (on a tray) and a movie!
I used this tray I bought at IKEA many years ago
I like it's large size and low price
I used a St. Patrick's Day placemat I bought on clearance
(4 mats for $2)
This wonderful yellow plate with shamrocks was found at a church rummage sale (3 plates for .75)
and set the colors for the plate stack
A large pale yellow fiesta plate as a charger, then a wonderful green Harlequin plate, topped by the shamrock plate
(all plates were thirfted)
I used this white napkin with a yellow flower
(4 for $1 at a yard sale)
These bright green handled flatware
were found at a GW for .20 ea
These two glasses were also thrift store finds
The green swirl boopie was .75 and the Irish Coffee glass was .59
All this fits on the tray so nicely!
These little salt & pepper shakers were gifted to me and are etched with a sweet Hummingbird
I added a tea light for ambiance
I used a battery tea light however for safety's sake
It gives some nice candle light!
Even on a tray you can set a sweet placesetting
A very pretty, seasonal and thrifty trayscape!
I'm joining Diann for her monthly
Thrifty Tablescapes party
Hugs,
Linda

Wow, how much do I love this place setting. The colors are just gorgeous. It would be so lovely to use on St Patty's Day.
Very pretty place setting! Love the plates and those sweet little hummingbird shakers :o) Have a great weekend!

Wow, that looks great. Who knew you could do such a fabulous place setting on a tray.
Thrifty and pretty! You are all set for St. Patrick's Day, too! I love the pretty napkin!
XO,
Jane
Very pretty - tray for one. I love the greens for St. Pat's day. sandie
Pretty, pretty, pretty, Linda. Great job. Everything looks so neat, colorful, and coordinated. Susan P.S. Love your new header, too.
What a pretty tray...of course I like it, there is lots of green. Sometimes I serve Howard a meal on a tray if he is watching tv, but never as nice as that one! Love the salad plate.
Dinner on a tray brings back memories of my childhood and visiting my Grandparents. I LOVED dinner on the tray. How cute Linda. Love your header too.
Love it! The yellow plate with the shamrocks is so pretty! Does it have abrand on the back?
Love the green glass too!
great new header!
I often want dinner on a tray, but it's rarely as elegant and coordinated as yours!
What a sweet little setting and such thrifty finds!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Love that! Hmmm....if you added the whole price of that place setting up, it must be under $10! Lovely combinations!
What a fabulous thrifty table/tray!!!
It is perfectly brought together and the price is ohhhh soooo right!
I LOVE the green flatware!
Just perfect for green eggs and ham!
My, this is pretty! I have never been so fancy for our "dinner and tv" time.
'Round here we have dinner on a lap.
Hehehehehe
Linda, Your tray setting is very pretty. You find some of the neatest things thrifting.
We eat dinner on trays every night. But we don't use such a lovely place setting as you do. You've inspired me!

Linda - I like just about everything in these pictures!!!! Beautiful!
Super thrifty place setting! What time is dinner and which movie should I pick up on the way? Have a wonderful weekend!

Love those little yellow plates with the clovers. I just enjoy looking at your tablescapes.~Ames
I would eat dinner on a tray every night if it would look this pretty!
Hi Linda,
Your trayscape is so inviting...I love the colors you used. I often prefer to have dinner on a tray, especially on work nights...just plop in front of TV. But I have to admit, my tray has never looked as beautiful as yours...you thought of every detail. Makes me want to stop by for dinner!
Cheryl
How pretty! I should look for a pair of trays that size. I would like to say that hubby and I eat at the table all the time, but that isn't the case anymore. We set a good example for years when the kids were growing up and do so again now when the grandson is over, but just the two of us? Yes, sometimes we eat in front of the TV.
Oh Linda! I love those shamrock plates. They are so cute! I've never seen anything like them and can't believe you got them for such a great deal too. Wow! As for having dinner on a tray that is me most nights now days. Since it's usually just the Mr. and me we are eating on trays in front of the TV more often then ever before in our life and enjoying it. I love your tray setting so much, it's adorable!
I am a big fan of St. Patrick's Day so this is soooo cool!
This is the perfect St. Pat's Day dinner on a tray! Love the shamrock plate and those little S & P are so adorable! Thank you for joining TT this month. I hope your weekend has been fun! Hugs, Diann :)
I fixated on the green boopie glass right away. Then I read you bought it for $.75... NO WAY!!! Love the tablescape but I love your thrifting even better!!!
I would love to do this and take it into my lanai! What a beautiful tray with everything perfectly set! I love that Irish coffee cup! Very nice! ♥
We have a lot of those 'movie and dinner' nights. But it would be much more fun with a lovely tray! Very nice.
Wishing you a wonderful week!

Such a charming place setting...the shamrock plates are SO wonderful!
How beautiful! Perfect for St. Patrick's Day...Christine
Wow, when I have dinner on a tray it is never quite so elegant. What a lovely way to treat yourself.

Oh gosh, even your tv tray dinner place setting is gorgeous. When i read your first question re: feeling like dinner on a tray once in awhile, i thought YES...I feel that way often! But it never looks THIS pretty. You are just amazing to me:)
Hugs.
