Indigo is one of the colors of the rainbow!
I'm joining in with MISS JENNY for Alphabe Rainbow summer school. This week we are studying the color INDIGO
I'm joining in with MISS JENNY for Alphabe Rainbow summer school. This week we are studying the color INDIGO
Indigo is the color that is a hue lying between blue and violet
After looking at many photos on Flicker and Google I have decided that Indigo is in the eye of the beholder! So this is my view of
INDIGO
This tablescape will have shades of blue and white
with 'touches' of Indigo
These white dishes with a blue pattern were found at a thrift shop
they have lots of chips but I loved the design and the were very inexpensive!
I used a blue place mat, dinner plate and bread plate in the Pontesa pattern. I added another white bread plate for some texture and topped it with a cobalt blue berry bowl.
I used these wonderful milk glass goblets in a grape vine pattern
These goblets were a gift from my friend Mimi at In The Middle of Nowhere just because!
She also sent me some awesome tablecloths and you will see those at another time. Mimi and I both love milk glass and she was so kind to share some of her wonderful finds with me!
I love how these goblets look!
The centerpiece is a loose bouquet of
garden flowers
Not a lot blooming right now but I got a little of this and that
A few white flowers and some greenery
A plate for sliced tomatoes and a silver tomato server
White napkins and my favorite silver
These napkin rings are the one's I won in a giveaway
I received 3 colors and today I'm using the INDIGO
Don't you agree these are INDIGO?
Between blue and purple?
I thought you would agree!
Did you notice the one gardenia in the flower arrangement?
I hope you have enjoyed my table today!
I am also joining in with these other fun parties

Always,
Linda

Linda, I wimped and didn't do anything for Indigo...all I kept on thinking was that there was a band called the Indigo girls. Your interpretation of indigo is wonderful. I love the indigo berry bowls. Also love the tomato spoon...you have to have one! Joni
Lovely - and Yes, Indigo truly is in the eye of the Beholder....bkm
Oh Linda Sweetie...

Hi Linda,
I do believe that you are the Queen of beautiful dishes! I would call your blue, indigo blue and I love it. It mixes so well with the milk glass. I just love those goblets.

As pretty as that blue is, the milk glass is still my favorite. Your flowers are lovely! And the butterfly in your header is gorgeous. Did you take that photo?
The napkin rings are definitely indigo! Your table is lovely. I always thing milk glass looks terrific with blue or indigo! ~ Sarah
Absolutely lovin' your tablescape! What really caught my eye (in addition to the goblets) was the candle holder!
Just beautiful! They just don't make dishes pretty like that any more.
Vintage Thingie Thursday!

Hi Linda, You always set such a beautiful table. Beautiful pieces.
Those ironstone dishes are wonderful, my favorite vintage dishes have some chips on them as well- it just means they've been extra loved! PS- I have the sugar bowl and creamer that match your goblets. :) Happy VTT!
Hi Linda,
Your Indigo is lovely :) You set a pretty table. I keep telling myself to set a pretty table for me & hubby...one of these days.
Warmly,
deb :)
Linda you should be a decorator! You could decorator those model homes! You should have a business because you have one incredible talent my friend! I love the indigos. Hugs Anne
Very Pretty - you did a great job! Beautiful flowers! The clear, deep blue dishes are my favorite. I would have a collection of them if room allowed.
Very lovely and I do love indigo...fun to say and spell and wear and see! :D
Hi Linda!
Oh, very pretty table. The Indigo is gorgeous! And the milk glass goblets are wonderful. Mimi is just so sweet!
Beautiful, Linda, and I agree, it IS indigo. You have set a beautiful table. Those plates are SO pretty...and unique.
I love the milk glass goblets. I recall that my mom had a set like that when I was growing up, but I'm sure it's been boxed up for about 30 years. Maybe I should rescue it, huh?
Hope all is well and that you're having a great week.
Love,
Patti

Once again Linda...such wonderful items and place settings. If I ever have a tea party for my prayer group ladies will you come and help me? Peace and blessings
Can I come over for dinner?

i love this tablescape! it looks really great!
I totally agree. I found indigo was many different shades when I looked on Google. I love your table.
Nice table! Those napkin holders are just darling!
So beautiful! I love the blue and white plates! My mom and I have both collected blue and white for years, decades, actually, and that's one I've never seen. If I'd been there, I'd probably have wrestled to the floor to get it,lol!
I love your lovely tablescape and the blue depression glass can serve as indigo just fine. I too love the milk glass goblets. The grape pattern is my fave and the most collectible for a lot of collectors. Your fresh flowers are so pretty. I bet the gardenia smelled sooo good.
Happy VTT
Hugs, Jeanne
What a great link to the most difficult color in Rainbow Summer School.
Your tablesetting is glorious, as always, and those napkin rings are really charming.

That was beautiful! Indigo is between blue and purple. I didn't actually know that until we had to write about it...ha.
The richness of the indigo is complimented by the quiet white. What a wonderful pairing and such a pretty table.
I love the Indigo. It's very deep in color and offsets the white beautifully. Very lovely table.
As usual a lovely table scape and I adore the milkglass goblets! I too think that indigo is in the eye of the beholder!
We have book stores that are called INDIGO. LOVE YOUR VERSION of it Linda.. and I like saying that word.....INDIGO.
Love Ya

I like the indigo mixed with the softer shade of blue. You found some great dishes at a wonderful bargain. Very creative take on indigo...I think that you may win the prize. Thank you for sharing your design. Cherry Kay
