Charlie Has A New Home and A Winner

If you are a cat parent then you know how they find a favorite 'spot' and sleep there all the time....for awhile, then they move on to another 'spot'!

Charlie has found a new 'spot'

He has moved into this cardboard box!

Really he has!  He comes out to eat and use the litter box and harass me occasionally

 but then

Back he goes!  This has lasted for several weeks now.  

Who knew all I needed was 'perfect' box for him!

Update on Charlies health:  It seems that the thyroid pills did NOT sit well with Charlie and we had several rough days of vomiting and then refusing to eat.  I consulted my vet and she reduced his pill to 1/4 a tablet twice a day.  I've made sure he has food in his stomach and I can say he is finally doing much better.  I take him back on Thur to test his thyroid function again and see if the meds are helping.  Fingers crossed he is doing better now.

Five Year Blog Anniversary & Giveaway!

REALLY??? Five Years??

I am so happy to celebrate this great milestone!

Who knew when I started blogging in 2009 that Five years later and 900+ posts I would still be here!  And more importantly...so are you!

This was the first photo I figured out how to post...Charlie of course!  

You've stayed with me through so many ups and downs! 
I can't begin to tell you how much all of you mean to me!

This has been a pretty rough year as you know.

Moving my Mom to Georgia was one of the hardest things I've had to do in a long time.

Downsizing her and packing was hard work and emotionally hard also.  But it got done and Mom is now close by and I couldn't be happier!

My Blog suffered and I only posted about once a week, but still you hung in there with me.

I'm happy to say life is slowing down and I hope to have more time 
for blogging this coming year!

I still managed to have some adventures 
and even got to meet two of my long time blogging buddies!

Betsy from My Salvaged Treasures when I was in Calif! 

I've been so blessed and can't thank all of you enough for your friendship, encouragement and support!   So it's time to give you something!

Pretty Pottery

I love pottery and have been collecting it for many years.  

My latest additions are all thrifty finds!

These two were found at the same thrift shop.  Both are old and not particularly valuable, but I paid less then $1 for both of them.

Love the pink on this sweet little bird planter

and blue tickets were 1/2 price!

The condition on this one is a little rough, but that sweet decal and flower detail on the bottom make up for it

I love mini's and these two pieces are the newest additions to my small collection

The blue pitcher was $3 at an Antique Mall

The white basket was $1 at a thrift shop

Both are marked USA and are most likely Shawnee or McCoy

Fall Fun & 900th Post!

Happy November everyone! 

I can't believe how October flew by

We had some great Fall Fun and I want to share some of it with you.

Of course we had to do some pumpkin carving

Tiger dressed up as a cowboy for his school's Fall Festival

He got to ride a pony

and play music with his Dad and the band
"Old Smokey"

He is very musical

I found this gorgeous metal leaf at a thrift shop for a quarter and added it to my Fall collection

Sara, Tiger & Blake took a trip to So Ga to visit family and share the joy of announcing that they would have another little one in April 2015

Tiger was 'The Good' last night for Halloween!

His Dad did a great job pulling this costume together

I love this guy so much!  He really brings such joy to my life!

I was so surprised to see that this was my 900th post!  I'm about to have my blog anniversary and so I'm going to have a give away! Check back later this week for that post!

Blue Bird of Happiness

Four years ago the Blue Bird of Happiness flew in

And announced a big change in my life

Well he's back!

I'm going to be a Grandma again!!

NO...it's NOT TWINS!

We just don't know if it's a boy or girl yet!

 We are all so thrilled!

They announced it like this!

"We are finally getting a keyboard player"

Tiger is thrilled that he is going to be a big brother!

And I can't wait to be a Grandma again!

And while I will be happy with either a boy or a girl

I 'might' have my fingers crossed for Pink!
